This EA was built from real trading experience on the relationship between Gold Futures and Spot Gold. Its logic, filters, and risk controls were designed specifically for this type of market structure. For this reason, the product is intended to be used only on the Gold Futures / Spot Gold pair. The author does not take responsibility for results on other symbols or synthetic combinations.
The main idea behind the strategy is the natural relationship between a futures contract and its spot market. As the futures contract gets closer to expiration, the futures price is expected to move closer to the spot price. The EA uses this market structure to look for controlled delta/spread opportunities between the two instruments.
This makes the strategy less dependent on pure market direction compared with many single-symbol systems. The EA is not trying to predict whether gold will rise or fall. Instead, it focuses on the price distance between the futures and spot symbols. News, volatility, spread, execution quality, swap, and broker conditions can still affect the result, so correct setup is very important.
Critical setup requirements
- The expiration date must be entered correctly in the EA inputs.
This date is used by the EA to estimate the appropriate distance and timing for entries. - The futures symbol name and the spot gold symbol name must be set exactly as they appear in your broker’s Market Watch.
If the symbols are not entered correctly, the EA cannot manage the intended instruments. - The Shrink input must be adjusted according to the swap charged by your broker on long Spot Gold positions.
Brokers with lower swap conditions usually provide a better environment for this strategy. - Based on practical experience, the Shrink value is usually between 0.5 and 1, but the correct value depends on your broker’s contract specifications, swap, commission, and trading conditions.
Before running the EA on a live account, it is strongly recommended to contact the author with your broker name and symbol specifications. This allows the setup to be reviewed and helps you use the EA with the most suitable settings for your trading environment.
