The GOLD Velocity Pro
Gold Velocity Pro MT4 is an automated breakout Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4 developed primarily for XAUUSD. It combines Donchian Channel price breakouts with an RSI momentum filter to identify short-term directional trading opportunities.
Trading Approach
The EA uses a Donchian-style lookback calculation to identify the recent highest and lowest price boundaries.
When price breaks above the qualifying upper boundary, the EA evaluates the RSI momentum condition for a potential Buy trade.
When price breaks below the qualifying lower boundary, the corresponding RSI condition is evaluated for a potential Sell trade.
The RSI filter provides an additional momentum requirement rather than allowing every price breakout to generate a trade.
Momentum Filter
In the reference configuration, RSI above 55 is required for Buy authorization and RSI below 45 for Sell authorization.
These thresholds are intended to confirm directional momentum. They do not guarantee that a breakout will continue.

Reference Settings
The existing reference configuration uses:
XAUUSD
Timeframe: M30
Breakout Lookback: 85
RSI Period: 25
Take Profit: 2000 points
Stop Loss: 600 points
These settings are starting references rather than guaranteed or universally optimal settings. Gold contract specifications, point values, spreads and execution conditions can vary between brokers.
Position size should be selected according to account equity, leverage, broker specifications and acceptable trading risk rather than relying on a fixed balance-to-lot formula.
Risk Information
Breakout strategies are exposed to false breakouts. Price can move beyond a recent high or low and subsequently reverse.
RSI confirmation can filter trading signals but cannot determine whether a breakout will continue. XAUUSD can also experience rapid price movements, spread expansion and slippage, particularly around major economic announcements.
Test the EA using your broker's XAUUSD specifications in the MetaTrader 4 Strategy Tester and on a demo account before live deployment. Historical performance does not guarantee future results.
