SMMA RSI Pulse EA — Systematic Trend & Momentum Trading System

SMMA RSI Pulse EA is a fully automated Expert Advisor designed for disciplined, trend-following traders. It filters out market chop by combining higher-timeframe trend alignment with multi-layered momentum confirmation, backed by an adaptive, fixed-distance trailing stop.

The system trades strictly on completed bar closes, preventing intra-bar noise, repainting issues, and false triggers.

Strategy Overview

1. Trend Filter: Price must close above (for Buy) or below (for Sell) the 50-period Smoothed Moving Average (SMMA).

2. Subwindow Momentum Alignment: Relative Strength Index (RSI 9) and two chained Moving Averages (LWMA 21 and SMA 3 applied directly to RSI) must all confirm directional bias by staying above or below the 50.0 threshold.

3. Execution & Exit:

   • Buy: Triggered on candle close. SL placed at candle Low. TP calculated at 1:3 RR.

   • Sell: Triggered on candle close. SL placed at candle High. TP calculated at 1:3 RR.

   • Trailing: The exact initial risk distance trails dynamically behind the trade on every favorable tick.

Input Parameters

1. Timeframe Settings

• InpTimeframe ( Selected Strategy Timeframe ): Choose your target execution timeframe (e.g., M15 , H1 , H4 ) or set to PERIOD_CURRENT to inherit the active chart timeframe.

2. Trade Settings

• InpLotSize ( Fixed Lot Size ): Volume for opened positions (e.g., 0.01 , 0.10 ).

• InpRiskRewardRatio ( Take Profit Ratio ): Risk-to-Reward multiplier (default: 3.0 for 1:3 RR).

• InpMagicNumber ( Magic Number ): Unique trade identifier to separate EA orders from manual trades and other algorithms.

• InpSlippagePoints ( Max Slippage ): Maximum permissible slippage in points during trade entry.

3. Trailing Stop Settings

• InpEnableTrailing ( Enable Trailing Stop ): Toggle true to activate dynamic trailing stop management or false to rely strictly on fixed SL and TP.

4. Indicator Settings

• InpSMMA_Period ( Smoothed MA Period ): Calculation period for the trend-filtering Smoothed Moving Average on the main chart (default: 50 ).

• InpSMMA_Shift ( Smoothed MA Shift ): Horizontal bar shift for the Smoothed Moving Average.

• InpRSI_Period ( RSI Period ): Baseline Relative Strength Index period (default: 9 ).

• InpRSI_Threshold ( Mid-Level Filter ): Centerline momentum boundary (default: 50.0 ).

• InpLWMA_Period ( LWMA on RSI Period ): Linear Weighted Moving Average calculated directly over RSI values (default: 21 ).

• InpSMA_Period ( SMA on RSI Period ): Simple Moving Average calculated directly over RSI values (default: 3 ).

Recommended Setup

• Instruments: Gold ( XAUUSD ), Major Currency Pairs ( EURUSD , GBPUSD ), and Liquid Indices.

• Recommended Timeframes: M15, H1.

• Account Type: Low-spread ECN / Raw Spread account with low latency VPS.
