AI Volatility Breakout Session Scalper trades the explosive move that often follows the opening minutes of a trading session. It measures the exact high/low range formed in the first few minutes after your chosen session opens, then scalps a breakout in either direction once price clears that range - with stop-loss and take-profit distances scaled dynamically to current market volatility (ATR), not fixed pip values.
KEY FEATURES
- Define any session start time (server time) - London open, New York open, Asian open, or any custom time.
- Measures the opening-range high and low over a configurable window (default 5 minutes) using M1 data.
- Enters long on a breakout above the range high, short on a breakdown below the range low.
- Stop-loss and take-profit are both multiples of the current ATR(14) on M1, so trade risk automatically adapts to quiet vs. volatile sessions instead of using one fixed distance for every market condition.
- Configurable maximum trades per day (default 1) to keep the strategy disciplined and prevent overtrading around a single session open.
- Full position sizing based on account risk percentage, with margin and broker stop-level checks before every entry.
INPUTS
- Session Start: server time the session opens
- Opening Window Minutes: how long to measure the initial range
- ATR Multiplier SL / TP: risk and reward as multiples of ATR
- ATR Period: ATR calculation period
- Risk %: percent of account balance risked per trade
- Max Trades Per Day: hard cap on new entries per day
WHO IS THIS FOR
Scalpers and session traders who want a rules-based way to capture the volatility expansion that regularly follows a major session open, without manually watching the clock and drawing range boxes every day.
Test it on your broker's server time first to make sure your session start input lines up correctly with your desired market open, then combine it with our other AI risk-management tools for a complete automated approach.
