Gold Session Breakout

Gold Multi Session Breakout is an automated Expert Advisor developed specifically for trading Gold (XAUUSD) on the M15 timeframe.

The EA is built around a systematic multi-session breakout approach. It monitors price behavior during the major global trading sessions and searches for structured breakout opportunities while applying predefined risk management and total exposure control.

The objective is not to trade continuously. The EA waits for its specific market conditions and executes only when the programmed breakout criteria are satisfied.

Trading Strategy

Gold frequently experiences changes in volatility and liquidity as the global trading day moves through the Asian, London and New York sessions.

Gold Multi Session Breakout is designed around these session transitions.

The EA analyzes predefined session price ranges and monitors the market for valid breakout conditions. When all required conditions are confirmed, the system can execute a position automatically.

The complete entry algorithm contains additional internal filters and confirmation rules that are intentionally not disclosed.

The strategy operates entirely according to predefined rules and does not make discretionary trading decisions.

Multi-Session Approach

The system monitors three major trading periods:

Asian Session
London Session
New York Session

Each session is processed independently according to the EA's internal breakout logic.

This allows the strategy to participate in different volatility environments throughout the trading day instead of depending on only one trading window.

Risk Management

Risk management is an important part of the system.

The EA includes automatic position sizing based on account equity and the selected percentage risk.

Default configuration:

Risk per trade: 1%

The lot size is calculated automatically according to:

• Account equity

• Entry price

• Stop Loss distance

• Symbol specifications

• Selected risk percentage

This means position size automatically adapts as the account balance changes.

Users can modify the risk level in the EA inputs according to their own risk tolerance.

Reward-to-Risk Structure

The default strategy configuration uses approximately:

1:3 Reward-to-Risk

Every trade is opened with a predefined Stop Loss and Take Profit according to the strategy rules.

The EA does not use Martingale or uncontrolled position averaging to recover losing trades.

A losing trade is accepted as part of the statistical trading model.

Exposure Control

Gold Multi Session Breakout includes additional account exposure protection.

The EA can limit:

• Risk per individual trade

• Maximum number of simultaneous positions

• Maximum total open risk

• Multiple entries on the same symbol

These controls are designed to prevent several breakout signals from creating excessive combined account exposure.

One Position at a Time

The EA includes an optional One Position at a Time mode.

When enabled, a new position cannot be opened while another position controlled by the EA remains active.

This provides an additional method of limiting exposure for users who prefer more conservative execution.

Automatic Lot Calculation

There is no need to manually calculate the appropriate lot size for every trade.

The EA calculates the position size automatically from the selected risk percentage and current trading conditions.

The calculation also respects broker-specific trading parameters such as minimum volume, maximum volume and volume step.

Broker Compatibility

The EA uses the current chart symbol rather than relying exclusively on a fixed symbol name.

This improves compatibility with brokers that use different Gold symbol naming conventions or suffixes.

Trading conditions can vary significantly between brokers. Spread, commission, execution speed, contract specifications and historical price data may therefore affect results.

Backtesting

The strategy has been evaluated across extended historical periods and different Gold market conditions.

Backtesting is useful for understanding the historical behavior of an automated strategy, including its profitability, drawdowns, trade frequency and periods of underperformance.

However, historical performance does not guarantee future results.

Differences in broker data, spread, commission, slippage, execution and symbol specifications can produce different results.

Users are encouraged to test the EA in MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester using their own broker's historical data and trading conditions before using it on a live account.
