Iron Range is an automated Expert Advisor designed for BTCUSD, built with flexible execution, adaptive trade management, and risk-focused controls.
The EA has been tested using historical data from Vantage Markets and also evaluated on Fusion Markets. Since BTCUSD contract specifications, spreads, tick values, execution conditions, and price feeds may vary from broker to broker, results can also vary.
For brokers where the default settings do not produce satisfactory backtest results, users can fine-tune the EA through Advanced Settings A and Advanced Settings B. These parameters are provided to help adapt the EA to different broker environments and market conditions without requiring any source code changes.
Iron Range supports both market execution and pending-order execution, along with configurable risk-based position sizing, custom lot sizing, trailing-stop management, and broker-aware order handling.
A key advantage of this EA is its risk-conscious approach. It does not use dangerous recovery methods such as Martingale or Grid strategies, and it includes stop loss protection as part of its built-in trade management structure to help control risk and protect capital.
Recommended Usage
- Symbol: BTCUSD
- Timeframe: Not Restricted
- Recommended Broker: Vantage Markets
- The EA can be used on different chart timeframes, but users should always run a Strategy Tester backtest before using it on a live account.
- Start with the default settings.
- If performance differs significantly on your broker, optimize the A and B settings using the MT5 Strategy Tester.
- Use high-quality tick data whenever possible.
- Demo testing is strongly recommended before live trading.
- Broker conditions can materially affect results.
Historical performance does not guarantee future results. This EA is a trading tool and should always be used with proper risk management.
Important: Settings that perform well on one broker may not produce identical results on another broker due to differences in spread, commissions, execution, liquidity, contract specifications, and historical price data.
