Overview & Strategy Logic The Separating Line Candlestick EA is an automated continuation trading strategy based on the 2-candle Separating Lines pattern (Bullish & Bearish). This pattern captures instant market rejection against temporary pullbacks, signaling a powerful re-ignition of the primary trend.

A Separating Lines pattern occurs when a counter-trend candle is immediately followed by a trend-continuation candle that opens at the exact same Open price as the previous candle (creating a price gap/jump), then aggressively shoots in the direction of the main trend.

Trading Logic

• Buy Entry (Bullish Separating Lines):

  1. Shift 2 is a Bearish Candle (meeting the minimum required candle size).

  2. Shift 1 is a Bullish Candle.

  3. The Open price of Shift 1 jumps to match the Open price of Shift 2 ( Open Shift 1 ≈ Open Shift 2 ).

  4. Order triggers at the close of Shift 1 .

• Sell Entry (Bearish Separating Lines):

  1. Shift 2 is a Bullish Candle (meeting the minimum required candle size).

  2. Shift 1 is a Bearish Candle.

  3. The Open price of Shift 1 jumps to match the Open price of Shift 2 ( Open Shift 1 ≈ Open Shift 2 ).

  4. Order triggers at the close of Shift 1 .

• Exit Strategy: Managed strictly via fixed Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) levels measured in pips.

User Inputs / Adjustable Parameters

• Shift 2 Min Candle Size (Pips): Minimum total height ( High - Low ) required for the counter-trend candle at Shift 2 .

• Take Profit (Pips): Fixed profit target per trade.

• Stop Loss (Pips): Fixed risk protection per trade.

• Lot Size: Position volume for risk management.
