SMT Divergence Signals compares the active chart against a correlated comparison symbol and marks intermarket divergence when one market sweeps a swing high or low while the peer fails to confirm.
Use cases
- Spot potential Smart Money Technique divergence between correlated FX pairs, metals, or index CFDs.
- Filter liquidity sweeps by checking whether the comparison market confirms or refuses the sweep.
- Feed bull/bear divergence events into an EA through a simple signal buffer.
What it shows
- Bull SMT arrows when the chart symbol makes a lower swing low but the comparison symbol holds above its prior swing low.
- Bear SMT arrows when the chart symbol makes a higher swing high but the comparison symbol holds below its prior swing high.
- Primary momentum, peer momentum, and the SMT spread in a separate window.
Main features
- Configurable comparison symbol, swing strength, momentum window, tolerance, and minimum signal spacing.
- Optional dashboard, popup alerts, and push notifications.
- EA-readable signal buffer: 1 for bullish SMT, -1 for bearish SMT, 0 otherwise.
Basic use
- Attach the indicator to the symbol you want to trade.
- Set ComparisonSymbol to a correlated market available in Market Watch, for example GBPUSD for EURUSD.
- Wait for a swing sweep on the chart symbol while the peer does not confirm.
- Use the SMT signal with your market structure, session, and risk rules.
