Operating Principle

The Sentinela Valtrix EA starts its operation by establishing a hedge position, simultaneously opening a buy and a sell order. This foundation allows the system to be prepared to react to movements in either direction.

When the market sets a direction and one of the orders reaches its target, the hedge is unwound. The EA then enters a phase of progressive position management, where new orders are opened in the direction of the remaining position to optimize the exit point.

•        Adapting to Volatility: The initial distance between orders is calculated based on the actual market fluctuation of the previous day. If the market is more volatile, the robot increases the spacing; if it is calm, it reduces it.

•        Exposure Level Adjustment: To ensure greater safety in prolonged trends, the robot automatically increases the distance from the 4th order and, again, more significantly, from the 9th order.

To clarify, the account was opened with a balance of €9,000.00 and subsequently additional amounts were added, totaling €16,500.00 deposited to date, and the current balance is €21,225.00. 

Configuration and Recommendations

The Sentinela should be configured according to the account balance and the investor's risk profile.

Tested and Recommended Assets

•        EURJPY, EURGBP, EURUSD, and USDJPY.

•        Note: Depending on the balance, the EA can manage one to four pairs simultaneously.

Main Input Parameters

•        Initial Volume (lot_volume): 0.01 is suggested for accounts with 10k balances operating 3 pairs simultaneously (e.g., EURJPY, EURGBP, EURUSD).

•        Initial Take Profit (take_profit_pips): Recommended between 100 and 150 pips (limit of 200 pips).

•        Collective Stop Loss (stop_loss_pips): The default value is 800 pips. Users who prefer to tolerate the natural drawdown of the strategy can disable it (setting it to "0"), provided they are aware of the risk involved.

•        Total Profit Target (total_profit_to_close): Financial value to close the cycle. Examples of adjustments according to the lot size:

◦        Lot 0.01 → Target of €6.00

◦        Lot 0.02 → Target of €8.00

◦        Lot 0.03 → Target of €10.00

•        Time Limit: Configurable to prevent new cycles during low liquidity hours. Recommended start time is after 1:00 AM and the limit for new cycles is 9:00 PM (MT time).

Operational Tip (Overnight)

Whenever orders remain open for the following day, it is advisable to manually adjust the Take Profit (total profit) to double the value of the previous day, in order to compensate for the exposure time and potential swap costs.
