Time-Based Auto-Close Order Management Tool (MT4) — Technical Description

Overview
This is an automated order management EA based on time-algorithm logic. Its core function is to automatically execute preset closing operations when user-defined holding periods expire, aiming to help traders enforce predetermined rules mechanically and reduce emotional interference.

Core Closing Modes

Closing Mode Functional Definition
Close All Closes all eligible positions when the set time is reached.
Close Profit Closes only positions currently in profit.
Close Loss Closes only positions currently at a loss.
Close Buy Closes all long (buy) positions.
Close Sell Closes all short (sell) positions.

Core Algorithm & Parameter Configuration

  • Time Monitoring Engine: The EA continuously monitors the “survival time” of each position and triggers the preset closing logic once the user-defined holding period is reached.

  • Parameter Configuration: Users can set the check-time cycle, select one of the five closing modes above, and use magic number and symbol filtering for precise order management.
