GoldGridBot

GoldGridBot is a grid Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (gold) on MetaTrader 5. It waits for a strong momentum move, enters in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend and manages all positions as one basket with a common take profit.

How it works

• Trend filter on M15 and M5 (moving averages)
• Entry after a momentum reversal on M1
• Grid re-entries at a fixed distance when the price moves against the basket
• One take profit for the whole basket, measured from the average entry price
• Speed brake and time brake close a basket that grows too fast or stays open too long (LOW and MEDIUM)
• Margin guard: no new order if the account is too small for it, and the basket is closed before a broker stop-out

Risk profiles (one input)

• LOW - fixed 0.01 lot, up to 14 trades per basket, brakes active
• MEDIUM - fixed 0.01 lot, up to 18 trades per basket, brakes active
• HIGH - lot size grows with the account, no brakes. Only active after you set "HIGH: I accept the risk of a total loss" to true, otherwise the EA runs with MEDIUM.
• CUSTOM - all values adjustable

Recommended setup

• Symbol: XAUUSD (gold). Any chart timeframe - the EA uses its own timeframes.
• Account type: hedging
• Capital: per 0.01 lot 1 to 1.5 times the gold price (gold at 4,000 means 4,000 to 6,000 USD). For smaller amounts use a cent account.
• A VPS is recommended so the EA runs around the clock.
