CLOUDPips Kumo is a breakout trading robot for gold (XAUUSD) on standard and cent accounts. Gold tends to break its key highs and lows more often than it bounces off them. Kumo is built around that one idea: wait for a real break of structure, join the move, and stay in for as long as the trend lasts.
Launch price: 199 USD until 30 November. After that, the price will be 249 USD.
How it works
- Finds the latest swing high and swing low on H4.
- Waits for an M5 candle to close beyond that level. Breakouts that go against the H4 swing structure are skipped.
- Opens one trade with a stop loss of 3 × ATR. Lot size is calculated from a % of your balance.
- No fixed take profit. The stop follows a Supertrend on M15, and the trade closes when the Supertrend turns against it.
Most trades are small losses or small wins. The profit comes from a few large trends that the trailing stop rides to the end. Expect a win rate of around 40%.

Recommended settings
- Symbol: XAUUSD · chart: M5 (tested on gold only)
- Minimum balance: 1,000 USD (standard account) or 10,000 USC (cent account)
- Default preset: RiskPercent = 1.0 · Aggressive preset: RiskPercent = 2.0. You can load both as .set files. Leave all other inputs at their defaults.
- On small balances, the broker's minimum lot can mean more risk than the % you set.
- A VPS is recommended so trailing stops keep updating.

- About 1.3 trades per week on average.
- Kumo has losing years too. The worst was 2022, at −12.9% on the Default preset. Range-bound markets with false breaks are its weak spot.
