Previous Session High Low Alerts marks the high and low of the last completed trading session and alerts you when price comes back to them. Many traders watch where the previous Asian, London or New York session topped and bottomed. This indicator draws those levels and notifies you when they are touched.
How it works
- You set one session by its start and end in server time (default 10:00-19:00, which matches London hours on many brokers whose servers run at GMT+2/+3). Sessions may run past midnight. Give it a name for the labels and alerts.
- While the session is open, the indicator tracks its high and low.
- When the session ends, it draws them as dashed lines that extend until the same session starts again, where they stop.
- A label at the right edge shows each level and whether it has been touched since.
- Alerts: a pop-up and/or push notification fires once per level per session when price touches it. A touch can be counted by the wick (default) or only by the close. Alerts fire only on live ticks, never while history is being drawn.
- Lines of the last few sessions are kept for reference; you choose how many.
Inputs
- Session: name, start and end (server time).
- Alerts: on/off, push notification, touch by wick or close.
- Display: colours, sessions kept, bars to scan.
Limits
- Hours are in server time; check your broker's server clock and daylight-saving shifts.
- Intraday charts only. A session that starts inside a bar begins at the next bar.
- A touch is only a touch: the indicator does not judge what happens next.
The indicator marks levels and touches only. It does not trade or give signals.
