Overview
Astro Gann Cycles is an analytical timing indicator for MetaTrader 5 inspired by interpretations of W.D. Gann's work.
Astro Gann Cycles tries to calculates planetary positions directly within MetaTrader to identify repeating astronomical configurations. By analyzing the celestial backdrop associated with major market highs and lows, the indicator models hypothetical cycle waves that could help anticipate potential timing windows where market turning points might occur.
Important Note: All cyclical projections, wave paths, and timing markers provided by this tool are theoretical and hypothetical models. They are designed as timing confluence aids to complement your overall Analysis, not as deterministic signals or financial guarantees.
Key Features
- Integrated Celestial Wheel HUD: A native on-chart graphical interface displaying celestial coordinates and alignments in real time, or locked to historical pivot dates.
- Manual Pivot Analysis: Select any prominent swing high or swing low to inspect what celestial alignment was active at that time and project when similar geometric conditions could potentially reoccur.
- Hypothetical Sine Wave Projection: Plots a directional cyclical wave spanning from the chosen pivot toward the next projected alignment, helping visualize hypothetical market rhythm and phase.
- Auto Analysis Mode: Scans recent price structure automatically to detect the latest swing, project its corresponding cycle wave, and display markers for upcoming theoretical timing events.
- Clean Interactive Controls: Intuitive on-chart buttons allow you to inspect, project, and clear analysis with a single click without opening indicator parameter windows.
How to Use
Using Astro Gann Cycles is straightforward and interactive:
1. Manual Pivot Analysis
- Click 1. Select Start : The button activates in highlight mode.
- Select an Extremum: Click with your left mouse button directly on any significant swing high or swing low on the chart. A vertical marker will anchor at that bar, and the Celestial Wheel will reflect the planetary alignment at that exact moment.
- Click 2. Analyse : The algorithm analyzes the alignment associated with the selected pivot, searches forward in time for when a matching configuration could reoccur, and projects a hypothetical sinusoidal wave connecting the start point to the projected timing window.
- Read the Projections: The indicator highlights the future target date and projects a wave cycle that could potentially reflect market turning phases.
2. Auto Analysis Mode
- Click 4. Auto Analysis : The indicator automatically identifies the most recent validated price swing and plots the theoretical cycle projection from that point. It also plots subtle vertical markers indicating dates where upcoming celestial events could occur.
- You can toggle this mode off at any time by clicking the button again.
3. Resetting the Chart
- Click 3. Clear : Instantly removes all active projection waves, forecast lines, and event markers, returning the Celestial Wheel HUD back to the current live market time.
Input Parameters Overview
The indicator settings are organized into simple, intuitive categories:
1. Swing & Cycle Settings
- Auto Swing Detection Bars (Left & Right) (Default: 5): Number of confirmation bars to the left and right used by the Auto Analysis mode to validate price swing highs and lows.
- Aspect Orb Tolerance (Degrees) (Default: 4.0): Geometric tolerance margin (in degrees) for recognizing planetary aspect alignments.
- Future Scan Horizon (Days) (Default: 60): How many days into the future the indicator scans when searching for potential repeating alignments.
- Max Upcoming Independent Aspect Lines (Default: 8): Maximum number of upcoming timing markers displayed on the chart during Auto Analysis.
- Sine Wave Amplitude Multiplier (Default: 1.0): Visual height multiplier for the projected sine wave, allowing you to adapt wave appearance to chart volatility.
2. Astro Wheel HUD Settings
- Astro Wheel Canvas Size (Pixels) (Default: 280): Dimensions of the on-chart celestial wheel panel.
- Left Margin (Pixels) (Default: 16): Horizontal spacing from the left edge of the chart to the HUD panel.
- Top Margin (Pixels) (Default: 24): Vertical spacing from the top edge of the chart to the HUD panel.
- Include 60° Sextile Aspects (Default: true): Determines whether minor 60° sextile harmonic alignments are included in the aspect analysis.
3. Visual Colors
- Cycle Sine Wave Color (Default: Gold): Color of the projected hypothetical cycle wave.
- Start Pivot Line Color (Default: Aqua): Color of the vertical anchor line marking the starting pivot.
- Forecast Target Line Color (Default: Magenta): Color of the vertical line marking the theoretical target date.
- Independent Aspect VLine Color (Default: SlateGray): Color of the markers indicating upcoming independent celestial events
