Giano Session Range Breakout
Automatically marks the session range and shows its first confirmed breakout on XAUUSD M15.
Use it to review a fixed daily setup without drawing the session high and low manually. This free research release provides visual references for manual analysis.
What you see on the chart
- Teal line: the highest price of the measurement session.
- Orange line: the lowest price of the measurement session.
- Green or red arrow: the first confirmed upward or downward breakout, marked at the next candle's opening price.
The arrow is a visual marker. It is not an executed trade.
Reading the annotated screenshot
The screenshot shows historical XAUUSD candles from 14 October 2026, between 00:00 and 14:00 in broker server time.
- Session high: 4167.77. The upper boundary measured between 01:00 and 06:00.
- Session low: 4144.44. The lower boundary of the same measurement session.
- Confirmation candle: 11:30-11:45. It closes at 4144.11, below the session low.
- First SELL marker: 11:45. The arrow appears on the next candle at its opening price of 4144.11.
The numbered callouts explain this historical example. They are annotations, not additional outputs of the indicator. No trades or account returns are shown.
Rules and timing
The range uses all twenty M15 candles opened from 01:00 through 05:45. Once complete, its levels are displayed from 06:00 until 22:00.
The candle opened at 06:00 is intentionally excluded from breakout confirmation. Starting with the candle opened at 06:15, the first completed candle must close strictly outside the range. A touch or wick alone does not qualify.
The marker appears on the immediately following candle only if it opens before 22:00. The earliest possible marker is 06:30. At most one signal is displayed per weekday.
An incomplete or flat range produces no signal. A missing candle immediately after confirmation suppresses that day's signal. Corrected prices or newly downloaded historical candles can change historical results.
Setup and inputs
Attach the indicator to an XAUUSD M15 chart. Other timeframes are not supported in this release.

Historical notifications are not replayed on first load. Push delivery requires the terminal's notification settings and connectivity. End-to-end notification delivery has not yet been verified.
Important limitations
All session hours refer to the broker's server clock. They are fixed, with no automatic conversion between brokers or for daylight saving time.
This indicator does not open, modify or close trades. Profitability has not been established. Breakouts can fail, and a marker is not evidence of a profitable opportunity.
