Gold can travel $30 in a single session. Most EAs try to predict the direction. HighJump doesn't: it places a straddle on both sides of the price, lets the market choose the side, then scales in step by step and closes the whole basket in profit on the first meaningful pullback.

What makes it different is not the grid — it is everything around the grid:

• No blind add-ons. Every add-on waits for a confirmation candle, then enters through a trailing stop order: it buys the bounce, not the falling knife.
• It stays out of the storm. A built-in USD high-impact news filter blocks new grids and freezes add-ons around NFP, CPI, FOMC… And the news history is embedded, so your backtests show the real behaviour.
• It works your hours. Trading sessions in server time; outside them, no new grid — the open one is allowed to finish cleanly.
• It knows when to stop. Daily target, daily max loss, max total lots, and an account-wide global stop loss.
• Tested the hard way. MT5 Strategy Tester, real ticks, 50 ms execution delay, $1,000 deposit, 2025 → 2026.

LET'S BE CLEAR: HIGHJUMP IS A MARTINGALE GRID

HighJump adds to a losing position with increasing lot sizes. That is how it exits in profit on a pullback — and that is also its risk.

• A long one-way move will create floating drawdown. That is normal behaviour, not a bug.
• If the global stop loss is hit, the basket is closed at a loss. It is there to protect the account, not to look good.
• No setting turns a grid into a risk-free system. Nobody can promise you that — and we won't.

What we promise instead: a disciplined engine, protections that actually fire, and backtests you can reproduce yourself.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Straddle start: when flat, HighJump places a buy limit below the price and a sell limit above it. The first one filled sets the grid direction; the other one becomes a small hedge order.
2. Staged add-ons: if the price moves away, the EA adds at successive levels, each one confirmed by a candle and executed through a trailing stop order.
3. Exit: the basket (grid + hedge) is closed as soon as the dollar-per-lot target is reached, with a hidden trailing stop that locks in gains.
4. Safeguards:
   • no new grid outside the trading window;
   • news filter: no new grid and add-ons suspended around USD high-impact releases;
   • daily target reached → no new grid; daily max loss reached → same;
   • global stop loss: if the floating loss exceeds a % of the balance, everything is closed;
   • max lots: cap on the total volume engaged.
5. On-chart panel: today's result, target, weekly summary, grid status, session and news — and a glittery pixel-art unicorn that stacks one gold bar for every 10 % of the daily target. Trading is serious; your chart doesn't have to be boring.

Read these numbers properly: more profit came with more drawdown. Lot sizes are fixed (0.01 base), so the % drawdown depends on the start date and on the account size — it is higher when the EA starts on a small balance right before a very volatile period. Past performance does not guarantee future results: run your own backtest, then a demo, before going live.

WHO IS HIGHJUMP FOR?

For you if you accept floating drawdown as part of the game, you run it on a dedicated account with capital you can afford to risk, and you want a grid that respects news, sessions and hard limits.

Not for you if you are looking for a "never loses" robot, you plan to trade with money you need, or you can't stand seeing a basket in the red for a few hours.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION

1. Download HighJump from the Market (Market tab in MetaTrader 5, or your MQL5 profile → Purchases). It appears in Navigator → Expert Advisors → Market.
2. Enable the news filter: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" and add: https://nfs.faireconomy.media (without this URL the news filter is inactive in live trading).
3. Open an XAUUSD M5 chart (File → New Chart).
4. Drag HighJump onto the chart. In the Common tab, tick "Allow Algo Trading".
5. HighJump / Pro versions: adjust the inputs if needed (Inputs tab), then OK.
6. Turn on the Algo Trading button in the toolbar (it must be green).
7. The panel appears in the top-left corner: check the Session line (ACTIF / HORS SESSION) and the News line.

💡 Time zone: trading hours are in your broker's server time (the time shown in Market Watch). Example: if the server is 1 h ahead of Paris, 09:00 server = 08:00 Paris time.

💡 Several charts: give each instance a different magic number.

FAQ

Is it a martingale? Yes, and we say it upfront. The safeguards (sessions, news filter, daily max loss, global stop loss, max lots) limit the risk; they cannot remove it.

Why is the news filter active in the Strategy Tester? The MT5 tester cannot download a calendar. HighJump embeds the 2025-2026 history of USD high-impact releases so that your backtests reflect its live behaviour.

My broker quotes gold with 3 digits. HighJump detects it and adapts its distances automatically.

Can I use it on another symbol? It technically runs on any symbol, but its settings were optimised and tested on gold only.

Minimum balance? $1,000 recommended. Below that, the first 0.01 lot is too large a share of the account.
