Gold M30 RSI Intraday
Gold M30 RSI Intraday is an automated Expert Advisor designed for Gold (XAUUSD) trading on the M30 timeframe.
The Expert Advisor uses RSI-based mean-reversion logic to identify potential intraday reversal opportunities. The system is designed to wait for RSI to move into an extended area and then return through a predefined level before considering a trade.
CORE TRADING LOGIC
The primary indicator is the Relative Strength Index (RSI).
Default RSI settings:
- RSI Period: 14
- BUY Level: 35
- SELL Level: 65
- Timeframe: M30
BUY LOGIC
A BUY signal is generated when:
- RSI was previously below 35
- RSI crosses back above the 35 level
This indicates that bearish momentum may be weakening and the market may be starting a potential upward reversal.
SELL LOGIC
A SELL signal is generated when:
- RSI was previously above 65
- RSI crosses back below the 65 level
This indicates that bullish momentum may be weakening and the market may be starting a potential downward reversal.
COMPLETED M30 CANDLE CONFIRMATION
By default, the Expert Advisor uses completed M30 candles for signal confirmation.
This helps reduce reactions to temporary RSI movements that may disappear before the current candle closes.
Users can optionally enable current M30 candle processing through the EA inputs.
OPTIONAL EMA FILTER
An optional EMA 50 trend filter is included.
The EMA filter is disabled by default to preserve the original RSI reversal logic and maintain reasonable signal frequency.
When enabled:
- BUY signals require price to be at or above the EMA
- SELL signals require price to be at or below the EMA
RISK MANAGEMENT
The Expert Advisor includes automatic risk-based position sizing.
Default settings:
- Risk per trade: 0.50%
- Maximum lot size: 1.00 lot
- Optional fixed lot mode
- ATR-based Stop Loss
- 1:1 Risk/Reward ratio
- Automatic margin checks
- Spread protection
- Broker minimum stop-distance protection
STOP LOSS
Stop Loss is calculated dynamically using Average True Range (ATR).
Default settings:
- ATR Period: 14
- ATR Multiplier: 1.20
The ATR-based system allows the Stop Loss distance to adapt to current market volatility.
TAKE PROFIT
The default Risk/Reward ratio is 1:1.
The Take Profit distance is calculated using the effective Stop Loss distance.
For example:
If the effective Stop Loss distance is $5 from the entry price, the Take Profit target is approximately $5 from the entry price.
CONSECUTIVE LOSS PROTECTION
The EA includes protection against consecutive losing trades.
Default settings:
- Consecutive Loss Limit: 3
- Trading Pause: 60 minutes
After three consecutive losing trades belonging to this EA, the system pauses new entries for 60 minutes.
After the pause period expires, trading automatically resumes.
A profitable closed trade resets the consecutive-loss counter.
POSITION MANAGEMENT
By default, the EA allows only one position belonging to this Expert Advisor on the same symbol at a time.
A unique Magic Number is used to identify and manage the EA's own trades independently from other Expert Advisors.
TRADING SAFETY CHECKS
Before placing an order, the Expert Advisor checks:
- Terminal trading permission
- Account automated trading permission
- Symbol trading mode
- Broker trading session
- Current spread
- Available free margin
- Broker minimum Stop Loss and Take Profit requirements
The EA does not use:
- Martingale
- Grid trading
- Averaging down
- Recovery lot multiplication
