Aurum Vector Motion
Aurum Vector Motion is an Expert Advisor calibrated for selective directional trading on XAUUSD M1. It can also operate on other symbols and timeframes through a conservative completed-candle compatibility path, but those combinations are not the optimized or recommended setup.
Strategy
The program combines completed-candle structure with live price velocity, acceleration, directional efficiency, market structure and execution checks. An adaptive daily evidence gate can reduce or pause new entries when recent eligible observations do not meet its internal requirements. Open positions remain managed by the predefined stop loss and progressive trailing logic.
The strategy does not use a grid or martingale. It manages one strategy position on the attached symbol.
Simple default position sizing
The Market default is fixed 0.01 lot:
- LotSizingMode = GI_LOTS_FIXED
- BaseLots = 0.01
- Closed-balance growth does not increase the lot automatically.
- If the broker's minimum volume is larger than the requested 0.01 lot, the EA skips the entry instead of silently increasing risk.
Optional balance-step sizing is available for experienced users. With the supplied optional values, each complete EUR 100 or USD 100 closed-balance step adds 0.01 lot. This mode must be selected manually and should be tested with an explicit maximum-volume cap.
The default stop distance is 190 points. On the reference XAUUSD specification of a 0.01 point and a 100-ounce contract, 0.01 lot represents a nominal USD 1.90 value at that stop distance before slippage, commission and deposit-currency conversion. Check the selected broker's actual specification before live use.

Broker symbol decorations such as XAUUSD.a, XAUUSDm and XAUUSD.r are recognized. A symbol named only GOLD is not assumed to be equivalent because its contract specification may differ.
The EA does not hard-block other symbols or timeframes. Outside XAUUSD M1 it uses completed-candle direction, an ATR-aware initial stop, broker-safe volume and the same one-position, no-grid and no-martingale lifecycle. This compatibility path is not represented by the XAUUSD M1 reference backtest. Test every alternative symbol and timeframe separately before live use.
On a netting account, dedicate XAUUSD to Aurum Vector Motion and do not mix manual positions or another Expert Advisor's position on the same symbol.
First setup after purchase
1. Install Aurum Vector Motion from Market/Purchased using the MQL5 account that owns the product.
2. Open the broker's XAUUSD M1 chart.
3. Attach the EA and allow algorithmic trading in both the EA and the platform.
4. Click Reset in Inputs and confirm GI_LOTS_FIXED with BaseLots = 0.01.
5. Keep the remaining defaults for the first Strategy Tester and demo evaluation.
6. Check Experts and Journal for symbol, volume, spread, margin or permission messages.
7. Keep MetaTrader 5 connected continuously for live operation.
No DLL import or WebRequest permission is required.
Visible settings: identification and volume
- MagicFirst: unique trade and saved-state identifier. Do not change it while a position is open.
- LotSizingMode: fixed lot by default; optional closed-balance steps.
- BaseLots: fixed requested volume and non-EUR/USD fallback for optional dynamic mode.
- BalanceUnitsPerLotStep: closed-balance units required per dynamic step.
- LotsPerBalanceStep: volume added for each complete dynamic step.
- MaximumDynamicLots: optional dynamic-volume ceiling; 0 means no user cap.
- RequireEURorUSDForDynamicLots: limits the balance formula to EUR/USD accounts when true.
- SkipIfBelowFirstBalanceStep: skips dynamic entries below one full balance step when true.
Visible settings: execution
- Slippage: permitted order deviation in broker points.
- MaxSpreadPoints: blocks new entries above the selected spread; 0 disables this filter.
Visible settings: schedule
- ScheduleClockMode: broker-server, UTC or manual-shift entry clock.
- ScheduleManualShiftMinutes: server-time adjustment used only in manual-shift mode.
- TesterBrokerUTCOffsetMinutes: historical server offset used only with UTC mode in Strategy Tester.
- UseTradingHoursFilter: enables or disables the new-entry time window.
- TradeStartHour and TradeStartMinute: inclusive window start.
- TradeEndHour and TradeEndMinute: exclusive window end.
The default entry window is 02:00 to 23:15 in broker-server time. It blocks new entries only; an existing position remains managed.
Reference Strategy Tester conditions
- Symbol and timeframe: XAUUSD M1
- Model: every tick based on real ticks
- Period: 1 January 2026 to 15 August 2026
- Deposit and leverage: EUR 500, 1:500
- Position sizing: fixed 0.01 lot
These are historical test conditions, not a live result or a forecast. Broker data, spread, slippage, commission, contract size, server time and execution can change every result.
Important operating notes
- The EA is selective and may not trade every day.
- The adaptive evidence gate can reduce or pause new entries.
- Trading hours and spread limits affect new entries only.
- A EUR 500 balance does not guarantee safety or profit.
- Test the exact broker symbol and settings before live use.
- Different brokers are not expected to produce identical trades.
