Gold Institutional Profile is a professional volume analysis indicator designed specifically for XAUUSD (Gold).
Instead of simply displaying volume, the indicator transforms daily volume distribution into a clear and structured Volume Profile, helping traders identify areas of high activity, low-volume regions, value zones, and historically significant volume levels.
The indicator was designed to provide a cleaner and more structured view of market activity, helping traders analyze the relationship between price, volume, and market structure.
INSTITUTIONAL VOLUME LEVEL — IVLThe core reference of each daily profile is the IVL — Institutional Volume Level.
The IVL represents the price level with the highest volume concentration within the daily profile.
It can be used to analyze:
• High-volume price areas
• Potential reaction zones
• Market acceptance and rejection
• Historical volume references
• Price positioning relative to important volume levels
The current day's IVL is highlighted on the chart, while previous IVLs remain available for historical analysis.
VALUE AREA — VAH / VALThe indicator automatically calculates the Value Area based on a configurable percentage of the profile's total volume.
The default setting is:
70% Value Area
The indicator displays:
VAH — Value Area High
The upper boundary of the Value Area.
VAL — Value Area Low
The lower boundary of the Value Area.
The area between VAH and VAL can also be visually filled on the chart.
HVN — HIGH VOLUME NODEHVN (High Volume Node) identifies price levels where volume concentration is significantly higher.
These areas can help traders study zones of greater market participation and acceptance.
The sensitivity can be adjusted using the:
HVN Threshold
parameter.
LVN — LOW VOLUME NODELVN (Low Volume Node) identifies areas where volume concentration is significantly lower.
These regions can help traders analyze:
• Low-acceptance areas
• Potential price transitions
• Gaps between high-volume regions
• Internal market structure
The sensitivity can be customized through the:
LVN Threshold
parameter.
NAKED IVLOne of the distinctive features of the Gold Institutional Profile is the Naked IVL system.
The indicator tracks historical IVL levels and checks whether those levels remain outside the trading range of subsequent profiles.
When a historical IVL has not been revisited, it can be identified as:
★ Naked IVL
These levels remain projected on the chart as historical volume references, allowing traders to monitor how price interacts with previously established institutional volume levels.
The number of historical days to analyze can be configured by the user.
CURRENT DAY PROFILEThe current day's profile is dynamically positioned on the right side of the chart and expands horizontally toward the left.
This provides a compact and organized representation of the current volume distribution without unnecessarily occupying the future area of the chart.
The profile width can be customized using:
Today Width
and its position can be adjusted using:
Today Offset
HISTORICAL DAILY PROFILESPrevious daily profiles remain displayed inside their respective trading days.
This makes it easier to compare:
Price × Volume × IVL × Value Area × HVN/LVN
while preserving the original temporal location of each profile.
The number of historical days displayed can be configured by the user.
MARKET SESSIONSThe indicator can display the main trading sessions:
ASIA
LONDON
NEW YORK
Session opening and closing times are fully configurable, allowing traders to adapt the indicator to their preferred market schedule.

Gold Institutional Profile was developed with a strong focus on XAUUSD, one of the most actively traded and volatile instruments in the financial markets.
By combining:
Volume Profile + IVL + Value Area + HVN + LVN + Naked IVL + Market Sessions
the indicator provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing the internal structure of Gold.
READ THE MARKET BEYOND THE CANDLEPrice alone does not tell the entire story.
Behind every price movement is a distribution of market activity.
Gold Institutional Profile transforms that activity into a structured visual profile, allowing traders to identify where volume was concentrated, where value was established, and which historical levels may remain relevant.
This is not an automatic signal generator.
It is a professional analytical tool designed for traders who want a deeper understanding of the relationship between price, volume, and market structure.
