Multi-Timeframe Trend, Volatility & Momentum Analysis with Manual S/R Context
Gold Dashboard Trend Indicator is a rule-based technical analysis tool designed to identify potential trend-continuation opportunities by combining current-timeframe trend direction, higher-timeframe confirmation, EMA slope, ATR-based volatility analysis, pullback detection, momentum confirmation, and optional manual Support & Resistance context.
The indicator is designed with a strong focus on structured market analysis and signal filtering, helping traders monitor potential opportunities without relying on a single technical condition.
It can be used across multiple chart timeframes, while the Higher Timeframe (HTF) filter can be configured up to H1.
🔹 Multi-Timeframe Trend Confirmation
Gold Dashboard Trend Indicator uses both the current chart timeframe and a configurable higher timeframe to establish directional alignment.
The current timeframe uses an adjustable EMA to determine the local trend.
The higher timeframe uses a separate EMA to confirm the broader directional movement.
Example configurations:
M1 Chart
- Current timeframe: M1
- HTF: M5
M5 Chart
- Current timeframe: M5
- HTF: M15
M15 Chart
- Current timeframe: M15
- HTF: H1
The HTF timeframe is fully configurable and can be set up to H1.
This allows traders to adapt the indicator to different multi-timeframe trading approaches.
🔹 Trend DetectionThe indicator evaluates the relationship between price and the current-timeframe EMA.
Bullish Trend Conditions
- Price is above the current EMA.
- Current EMA is rising.
- Higher-timeframe EMA is rising.
Bearish Trend Conditions
- Price is below the current EMA.
- Current EMA is falling.
- Higher-timeframe EMA is falling.
The combination is designed to identify situations where the lower timeframe and higher timeframe are aligned in the same direction.
🔹 Dynamic EMA Slope FilterThe indicator does not only check whether the EMA is moving.
It also evaluates the strength of the EMA movement relative to current ATR.
The configurable:
Min EMA Slope ATR Multiplier
allows the trader to define the minimum EMA movement required for a setup to qualify.
This provides an additional filter against weak directional conditions.
🔹 ATR-Based Volatility AnalysisGold Dashboard Trend Indicator continuously compares the current ATR with its ATR moving average.
This produces an adaptive volatility ratio and classifies the current environment as:
- HIGH VOLATILITY
- NORMAL VOLATILITY
- LOW VOLATILITY
Signals can be filtered when volatility falls below the configured minimum threshold.
This gives the trader additional information about the current market environment before acting on a signal.
🔹 Volatility-Adaptive Pullback DetectionThe indicator is designed around a trend-continuation pullback concept.
Rather than simply generating a signal whenever price is above or below the EMA, the system looks for price to pull back toward the EMA while the established trend remains valid.
The pullback conditions adapt according to the current volatility environment.
This allows the indicator to use different pullback requirements during stronger and more normal volatility conditions.
🔹 Momentum ConfirmationA detected pullback does not automatically generate a signal.
The indicator also requires a momentum confirmation.
BUY Confirmation
The completed candle must demonstrate upward momentum relative to the preceding candles.
SELL Confirmation
The completed candle must demonstrate downward momentum relative to the preceding candles.
This additional condition helps distinguish potential continuation movements from simple price retracements.
🔹 Signal Spacing ControlGold Dashboard Trend Indicator includes a configurable minimum distance between consecutive signals.
You can define the minimum number of bars required between BUY signals and SELL signals.
Default: 10 bars
This helps control repeated signal clustering during periods of continued price movement.
🔹 Manual Support & Resistance ContextThe indicator includes an optional manual Support & Resistance framework.
You can enter:
- Manual Resistance
- Manual Support
The indicator then uses these levels to classify qualifying signals according to their location relative to the defined S/R range.
BUY PREMIUM
BUY signal occurring above the active resistance level.
SELL PREMIUM
SELL signal occurring below the active support level.
BUY RANGE
BUY signal occurring between the active support and resistance levels.
SELL RANGE
SELL signal occurring between the active support and resistance levels.
This gives traders an additional layer of market context when evaluating generated signals.
🔹 S/R Context Phase SystemOne of the key features of the indicator is its locked S/R phase system.
You can prepare new Support and Resistance levels while continuing to monitor the current active phase.
When you press:
RESET S/R CONTEXT PHASE
the prepared Support and Resistance values become the new active levels.
The indicator then records the beginning of the new phase and uses those locked levels for signal classification and phase statistics.
This allows the trader to deliberately establish a new S/R analysis phase instead of constantly changing the levels being used by the signal engine.
🔹 Real-Time Trading DashboardThe on-chart dashboard provides a centralized view of the indicator's current state.
It can display:
- Current operating mode
- Chart timeframe
- Total BUY signals
- Total SELL signals
- Premium BUY statistics
- Premium SELL statistics
- Range BUY statistics
- Range SELL statistics
- Latest detected signal
- Signal type
- Signal quality
- Active S/R phase
- Active Support level
- Active Resistance level
- Prepared Support level
- Prepared Resistance level
- Current S/R market context
- Current EMA value
- EMA direction
- ATR ratio
- Current volatility status
The dashboard is updated in real time as market conditions change.
🔹 Historical Signal StatisticsThe dashboard also calculates signal statistics across the available historical analysis window.
The indicator can display the number of detected:
- BUY signals
- SELL signals
- Premium BUY signals
- Premium SELL signals
- Range BUY signals
- Range SELL signals
This provides a quick overview of how frequently the signal conditions have occurred within the analyzed historical data.
🔹 Signal Quality ClassificationSignals are accompanied by a volatility-based quality classification.
HIGH
ATR ratio is at or above the configured high-volatility threshold.
NORMAL
ATR ratio is above the minimum volatility threshold but below the high-volatility threshold.
LOW (FILTERED)
Volatility is below the configured minimum threshold.
The classification is displayed directly on the dashboard.
🔹 Alert SystemGold Dashboard Trend Indicator supports multiple notification methods.
MT5 Popup Alerts
Receive an alert directly inside the MetaTrader 5 terminal.
Sound Alerts
Play a configurable .wav sound when a qualifying opportunity is detected.
Mobile Push Notifications
Receive signal notifications through the MetaTrader mobile application when push notifications are enabled.
Alert categories can also be controlled through separate settings for:
- Premium signals
- Range signals
The dashboard is designed for practical chart monitoring.
You can:
- Drag the dashboard around the chart
- Collapse the dashboard
- Expand the dashboard
