ICT Model 2022 EA — Liquidity Sweep · MSS · FVG Entry
ICT Model 2022 EA is a fully automated Expert Advisor built around the well-known ICT 2022 trading model (Smart Money Concepts). It does not use grid, martingale, averaging or any lot-size manipulation. Every trade has a Stop Loss from the moment it is placed, and the position is managed with up to 4 configurable partial closes instead of a fixed Take Profit.
📖 THE STRATEGY — STEP BY STEP
The EA replicates the complete 2022 model sequence on two timeframes (both configurable):
- Liquidity mapping (HTF) — the EA continuously tracks three types of liquidity pools, each one can be enabled or disabled:
- Unmitigated Higher-Timeframe swing highs/lows (Buy Side / Sell Side Liquidity)
- Previous Day High and Previous Day Low (PDH/PDL)
- Asian session High/Low (session hours configurable)
- Liquidity Sweep — it waits for a raid of one of these pools: a candle that wicks through the level and closes back inside (stop hunt / turtle soup).
- Market Structure Shift (MSS) — after the sweep, the EA waits for a close beyond the opposite swing on the lower timeframe, with a minimum displacement (in pips) to confirm real institutional intent. A timeout in bars cancels stale setups.
- Fair Value Gap (FVG) — the EA scans the displacement leg for a valid FVG (minimum size filter; choose the first FVG or the largest one).
- Entry on the retracement — a limit order is placed inside the FVG:
- FVG proximal edge, or
- Consequent Encroachment (50% of the gap), or
- OTE 70.5% of the displacement leg Pending orders expire automatically after N bars if not filled.
- Premium/Discount filter (optional) — the entry must fall inside your optimal trade entry window (e.g. 50–79% retracement of the leg), so you only buy in discount and sell in premium.
🎯 TRADE MANAGEMENT — NO TP, 4 SMART PARTIALS
There is no fixed Take Profit. The position is managed the way a manual ICT trader would do it:
- 4 partial closes, each with its own trigger distance (in pips) and its own percentage of the initial lot — all fully configurable and individually switchable (example: +20 pips 25%, +40 pips 25%, +60 pips 25%, +80 pips 25%).
- Micro-lot intelligence — the EA understands the broker's minimum volume:
- 0.01 lot → the whole position is closed at partial 1
- 0.02 lot → 0.01 closed at partial 1, the rest at partial 2
- 0.03 lot → 0.01 / 0.01 / remainder at partial 3, and so on. You will never get an "invalid volume" error from partials.
- Breakeven — SL moved to entry (plus optional offset) after X pips of profit, fully configurable.
- Optional trailing stop that activates only after the Nth partial has been taken.
- Partial-close state is stored persistently, so it survives terminal restarts.
Pip definition input: the pip size is defined in price units, so the EA works correctly on indices and symbols with 2-digit quotes (e.g. 4100.10 → 4110.10 = 10 pips) as well as on classic Forex pairs. Just set one input.
🛡️ FILTERS & ACCOUNT PROTECTION
- Killzones — trade only inside the London and/or New York windows (start/end hour and minute configurable, server time)
- High-impact news filter using the built-in MT5 economic calendar (minutes before/after configurable; automatically inactive in the Strategy Tester)
- HTF bias filter — none / EMA on the higher timeframe / Daily Open (longs only above, shorts only below)
- Daily loss limit — trading stops for the day at −X% of the balance
- Max trades per day, one-trade-at-a-time mode, max spread filter
- End-of-day flat mode (optional) — closes everything at a set server time
- Long / Short can be enabled independently
📊 ON-CHART VISUALIZATION
