GoldCream EA — Multi-Timeframe Trend Specialist

GoldCream EA è un algoritmo selettivo a timeframe multipli progettato per il mercato dell'oro (XAUUSD). È sviluppato per evitare il caos del mercato, eludere l'inseguimento delle rotture (breakout) ed eseguire ingressi nel profondo dei trend istituzionali esistenti.

Estrategia di Trading

  • Sincronizzazione a 5 Livelli: L'EA esegue operazioni solo quando la struttura del mercato si allinea perfettamente attraverso cinque timeframe differenti contemporaneamente (W1, D1, H12, H4 e H1).

  • Filtro di Momentum ADX: L'algoritmo si blocca completamente durante mercati laterali lenti e instabili. Attraverso l'uso dell'Indice Direzionale Medio (ADX), si assicura che gli ingressi avvengano solo in presenza di una forza di trend dinamica.

  • Logica di Rintracciamento con RSI: Attende correzioni di mercato a breve termine per garantire un prezzo di ingresso ottimale, entrando esattamente quando il rintracciamento offre un vantaggio statistico.

Gestione delle Posizioni e del Rischio

  • Trading in Cluster: Il sistema divide il rischio totale in una sequenza di posizioni parziali più piccole per ottenere una diversificazione fluida.

  • Protezione del Capitale: Ogni dimensione del lotto è calcolata in modo dinamico e in tempo reale in base all'equity attuale del vostro conto.

  • Trailing Avanzato: Non appena un'operazione entra in territorio positivo, il sistema assicura i profitti tempestivamente bloccando la posizione a Breakeven e seguendo il trend in modo dinamico.

As the description correctly says, this EA is highly selective. Per a backtest I ran (with default settings, on XAUUSD W1, "real ticks"), it'd trade during only 4 days in 2025, and 5 days in 5 months of 2026 so far. That's 9 trading days in ~17 months. Yet it managed to have one pretty bad equity drawdown spike, ending up with a recovery factor of 2.35, which is very low for such a lengthy time period. Such drawdown potential will limit the trade sizes reasonably usable with this EA, and combined with its infrequent trading I am unconvinced it is worth keeping it running throughout the year. The small profit per year may not be worth the distraction, given it'd be one of many EAs you'd use. Another observation I made is that all trades I got were buys - I don't know if this simply reflects the market, or the EA is somehow not currently capable of short-selling when it should.

Many other traders are currently using this EA successfully. If it’s not working for you, it is highly likely due to a setup mistake (e.g., wrong timeframe, wrong asset, or you forgot to enable "Algo Trading" in MetaTrader).

As the description correctly says, this EA is highly selective. Per a backtest I ran (with default settings, on XAUUSD W1, "real ticks"), it'd trade during only 4 days in 2025, and 5 days in 5 months of 2026 so far. That's 9 trading days in ~17 months. Yet it managed to have one pretty bad equity drawdown spike, ending up with a recovery factor of 2.35, which is very low for such a lengthy time period. Such drawdown potential will limit the trade sizes reasonably usable with this EA, and combined with its infrequent trading I am unconvinced it is worth keeping it running throughout the year. The small profit per year may not be worth the distraction, given it'd be one of many EAs you'd use. Another observation I made is that all trades I got were buys - I don't know if this simply reflects the market, or the EA is somehow not currently capable of short-selling when it should.

You are completely right: the Expert Advisor is designed to be highly selective, but I understand your concern regarding the trade frequency in relation to the drawdown spike and the resulting recovery factor. If an EA trades rarely, every single trade needs to count, and the risk-reward ratio must be tightly optimized so it remains a worthwhile addition to a multi-EA portfolio.
Regarding your observation about the buy-only trades: XAUUSD has been in a strong macro uptrend during the period you tested, which heavily influences the selectivity. However, I will double-check the short-selling logic to ensure everything is functioning exactly as intended and that no opportunities are being missed.
Please know that I am already actively working on optimizing the EA. I am fine-tuning the entry logic and risk management to reduce drawdown spikes, improve the recovery factor, and make the performance more consistent. My goal is to work hard on this until it is absolutely perfect.
