How it works
Risk Manager runs quietly in the background on your chart, watching matching positions on that symbol and applying a consistent, rules-based management process from entry to exit:
- Flexible position matching — by default, Risk Manager manages every position on its chart's symbol, whether opened manually or by any other EA. If you only want it managing trades from one specific EA, set the same Magic Number on both and it will manage only those trades, leaving everything else on that symbol untouched.
- Initial Stop-Loss, your way — choose between a fixed points distance, an ATR-based distance (with adjustable period and multiplier), or the high/low of a chosen number of previous candles. Set once per trade automatically the moment it opens.
- Break-Even Protection — once a trade reaches your chosen profit threshold, the stop-loss moves to entry price automatically, removing the risk of a winning trade turning into a loss.
- Four-Stage Partial Take-Profit — lock in profit progressively as price moves in your favour, with four independent profit targets and lot sizes you control.
- Smart Trailing Stop — once active, choose from three trailing methods (Moving Average, ATR multiple, or previous candle extremes) to let winning trades run while continuously protecting profit. Choose whether trailing starts at a fixed profit level or only after break-even has triggered.
- Symbol-Locked by Design — each chart instance manages only its own symbol, so stop-loss and take-profit sizing always matches that symbol's point value — no cross-symbol mix-ups between, say, a 2-decimal and a 4-decimal pair.
Who it's for
Manual traders who want consistent risk management without the discipline overhead, and EA/strategy developers who want a dedicated, independent layer handling trade management — matched precisely to their own trades via Magic Number if needed.
Important: use as your only risk-management layer per trade
Risk Manager works by directly modifying a position's stop-loss, take-profit, and size. If another EA is also managing stop-loss, take-profit, or trailing on the same trade, the two can conflict — overwriting each other's changes, including removing a stop-loss that was already set. For best results, use Risk Manager as the sole system managing a position's risk: either disable your strategy EA's own risk-management logic and let Risk Manager handle it, or use the Magic Number filter to keep Risk Manager's scope limited to the trades you intend it to manage.
Important note
Risk Manager does not open trades — it manages positions that are already open, whether placed manually or by another EA. It is a risk-management tool, not a trading signal or investment advice. Past or simulated performance is not a guarantee of future results. Test thoroughly on a demo account before live use.
