Harmonic Signal Alerts

Harmonic Signal Alerts is a free indicator for MetaTrader 5 that finds ABCD, Gartley and Bat patterns on the chart. When price reaches a pattern's potential reversal zone, it draws the XABCD lines, the zone and an arrow, and can alert you.

It works only from swings that are already confirmed and from closed bars. A pattern is drawn on the bar where it became known and is never moved or removed afterwards.

How it finds a pattern

  • Swings: a swing high is a bar higher than the 10 bars before it and not lower than the 5 bars after it (both adjustable). A swing is known 5 bars after it formed, and the indicator waits for that.
  • Ratios: the standard Fibonacci ratios of each pattern, with an adjustable tolerance (5% by default).
  • Reversal zone: the pattern's D level plus and minus 3% of the XA leg (of the AB leg for ABCD).
  • Completion: the first closed bar that reaches the zone. If price had already closed beyond the zone, or went past point C, there is no pattern.

  • XABCD lines with point labels and the pattern name
  • The reversal zone as a box
  • Arrow on the bar the pattern completed; buffers for other programs (arrows and which patterns)
  • Alerts on the newest closed bar: pop-up, sound, push notification, e-mail

Good to know

  • A pattern appears only after its swings are confirmed, so it is shown a few bars after the turning points, never earlier.
  • Ratios and tolerances differ between authors; these are the commonly published values.
  • How often: on 2023-2026 broker history with the default settings, about 2-3 patterns per symbol per month on H1, about 10 on M15 and less than one on H4.
