R3R AI NANO is an Expert Advisor designed to combine technical analysis, risk management, and external Artificial Intelligence models for trading XAUUSD (Gold).
The EA can work with different AI providers, allowing users to configure their preferred model and use their own API credentials.
Multi-AI Setup
The EA is designed to support AI providers such as:
- Google Gemini
- Anthropic Claude
- OpenAI GPT
Model names can be configured directly in the EA inputs. This allows users to adapt the system as providers introduce new models or change existing ones.
Important: The EA does not include API keys, credits, or subscriptions to external AI services. Each user must provide their own credentials and is responsible for any costs charged by the selected provider.
How It Works
At each newly closed candle, the EA collects market information and builds the context that can be sent to the selected AI model.
The analyzed data includes:
- Recent price action
- Fast and slow EMA
- RSI
- ATR and volatility
- Configurable timeframe context
- Risk-management conditions
The AI returns a structured decision such as:
LONG / SHORT / EXIT / WAIT
The response must comply with the format expected by the EA. Invalid or incomplete responses, or signals that fail the internal safety conditions, are rejected and the system remains in WAIT mode.
AI does not bypass the EA's internal protections. Every signal must pass the risk filters before it can become a trading order.
Two Operating Modes
SIMULATED MODE — Default
The EA analyzes signals and simulates trades internally. This allows users to monitor decisions, behavior, and statistics without sending real orders.
LIVE TRADING — Optional
Trading orders can only be sent when the user explicitly enables:
InpEnableLiveTrading = true
For safety, it is recommended to keep this option disabled during initial configuration and to test the EA on a demo account first.
Risk Management
R3R AI NANO includes several controls before authorizing a trade:
- ATR-based Stop Loss and Take Profit
- Configurable SL/TP multipliers
- Fixed lot or automatic risk-based lot calculation
- Minimum AI confidence requirement
- Maximum spread filter
- One position at a time per strategy
- Minimum interval between reversals
- Broker minimum and maximum volume validation
- Minimum stop-distance validation
- Market availability and trading-permission checks
These mechanisms are designed to prevent an AI response from automatically becoming a trade without additional validation.
On-Chart Dashboard
The EA includes a graphical dashboard for monitoring its operation, including:
Market and EA status
AI decision and confidence level
Position and P&L
Balance and daily P&L
Simulation statistics
API latency
Successful and failed API calls
Countdown to the next evaluation
Requirements for AI Operation
To use external Artificial Intelligence features:
- Obtain your own API key from the selected provider.
- Enter the key in the EA inputs.
- Enable the corresponding provider URL under:
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL
- Maintain a stable Internet connection.
A VPS is recommended for continuous operation.
API keys are not distributed with the EA.
Strategy Tester
There is an important difference between historical testing and live AI operation.
The MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester does not support external WebRequest operation in the same way as normal EA execution.
For this reason, during historical tests the EA uses its local strategy engine to generate the signals required for testing.
This makes it possible to evaluate execution logic, SL/TP behavior, money management, filters, order handling, and overall EA stability.
However:
Strategy Tester results do not represent the future performance of any Artificial Intelligence model.
To evaluate the actual AI integration, use a demo account, an Internet connection, and a valid API configuration.
Symbol Compatibility
Different brokers may use different names for Gold, for example:
XAUUSD
XAUUSD.sc
XAUUSDm
GOLD
The trading symbol can be configured through the EA inputs.
If the configured symbol is unavailable, the EA can use the symbol of the chart where it is attached, depending on the selected configuration.
Recommended Initial Setup
For initial testing:
- Attach the EA to an XAUUSD chart.
- Keep InpEnableLiveTrading = false .
- Select the desired AI provider.
- Enter your own API key.
- Authorize the corresponding WebRequest URL.
- Monitor its decisions in simulated mode first.
- Then test it on a DEMO account.
Only after fully understanding its behavior should live trading be considered.
