Live signal: Polaris Breaker Insane risk profile — live signal
Breaker is a risk-managed breakout trading system for XAUUSD. At its core is a risk governor that ties position size and how much of the strategy mix is active to your account balance, so exposure grows in step with equity instead of running everything from day one on a small account.
Under the hood, that mix is a diversified set of independent Donchian-style channel breakout strategies rather than one single entry model — a strategy can hold more than one concurrent position when price triggers more than one of its own confirmed channel breakouts, but the real diversification comes from combining several different strategies, each validated on its own before being added to the active portfolio.
The underlying strategies are grouped into modules so the portfolio reads as a small set of coherent building blocks instead of an unmanaged pile of switches:
· Fault — the slowest, longest-horizon breakout strategy in the portfolio, built around wide price swings
· Ridge — a medium-speed breakout strategy, sitting between Fault and Fracture
· Fracture — the core breakout strategy, the most active in the portfolio
· Shard — a second breakout strategy family with its own independently-tuned exit logic
· Aftershock — a ATR-normalized breakout strategy
How entries work
Breaker's entries are built on Donchian channel breakout — the classic price-channel technique behind trend-following systems going back to the 1970s/80s (the approach made famous by the Turtle Traders): a new move is signaled when price clears the recent rolling high or low. Every strategy runs its own channel on its own lookback window, and arms a pending order once price clears the channel edge by a minimum distance, rather than trading the raw breakout tick. Entry offsets and stop/target levels account for the current price level rather than using fixed point distances, so thresholds stay meaningful as gold moves from one price regime to another.
Each module keeps the exit approach it was actually validated with, not a single rule bolted onto every strategy.
What to expect
This system does not win every trade, or even most weeks. The typical pattern is a string of small losses, cut early once a trade doesn't work out, offset by fewer but larger wins when a move actually runs and the trailing exit lets it compound. That shape means real stretches where equity is flat or drifting slowly down between the bigger wins — normal behavior for this kind of system, not a sign something is broken. Judge it over months, not days or single weeks.
Position sizing and the risk governor
Breaker ships with an on-chart risk governor with 4 validated profiles — Low, Medium, High, Insane — plus a fifth Custom profile where you set your own thresholds. Each profile does two things as your balance grows: it scales the lot size, and it unlocks progressively more modules (Entry → Standard → Full tier), so risk grows in step with equity instead of running the full portfolio on a $200 account from day one.
| Profile | Entry tier | Standard tier | Full tier | Target drawdown (relative) |
| Low | $1,500 | $1,800 | $3,500 | ≤ 15% |
| Medium | $750 | $900 | $2,000 | ≤ 25% |
| High | $410 | $450 | $710 | ≤ 45% |
| Insane | $250 | $280 | $800 | ≤ 75% |
| Custom | your own | your own | your own | your own |
Every threshold above comes from a native MetaTrader 5 backtest on real tick data (Model 4), re-run per profile per tier until the worst historical relative drawdown landed at or under its target — not a guess.
Backtest, the honest version
Full portfolio, XAUUSD.r, real tick data, Model 4, January 2025 to August 2026 (about 20 months), fixed 0.01 lot, no compounding: 3,526 trades, net profit $12,239.03, profit factor 2.82, maximum drawdown $297.53 (2.98% of a $10,000 nominal balance).
Validation methodology
Every strategy in the active portfolio went through the same three-stage gate before being enabled by default: a parameter sweep, a walk-forward test where parameters are selected only on training data and never touched on the test window, and a trade-by-trade parity check against the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester on real tick data. Strategies that only looked good in-sample, or that walk-forward showed to be curve-fit, were dropped — a few of the variants you see in the code are kept disabled by default for exactly that reason.
The on-chart panel
· Live balance/equity, active risk profile, drawdown gauge vs. target
· A 3-tier stepper (Entry/Standard/Full) showing progress toward the next unlock threshold
· Per-module breakdown: lot size, open positions, today's P&L, all-time P&L
· Today's P&L and a 30-day equity sparkline
· One-click Close All / Clear Pending
Symbol scope
XAUUSD (Gold) only. Every threshold and channel-window size was tuned and validated on gold's specific price behavior — don't attach it to other symbols.
What you need
· MetaTrader 5, hedging account (strategies can hold multiple concurrent positions per symbol under separate internal magic numbers)
· A broker with real tick data / reasonably low spread on Gold
· A VPS is recommended: several strategies re-check pending orders and exits on every tick, not just on new bars
