Gold Flash Scalper trades one XAUUSD breakout at a time from an H1 chart, built for small accounts. Fixed 0.01 lot, a stop loss on every order, no martingale, no averaging down. 2022.02-2026.09 real-tick backtest with default inputs: PF 1.53, max equity drawdown 10.8% on $500. Reproducible: same inputs, same period, your own tester.
What it does
The EA reads the highest high and lowest low of the last 128 M15 bars (32 hours) and places a buy stop at the top and a sell stop at the bottom of that channel. Every order carries a stop loss 0.85 away in price and a take profit 3.16 away; once a position is 0.30 in profit, the stop trails 0.25 behind the price. It places no new orders while it has a position or a pending order, waits at least 720 minutes between placements, and lets unfilled orders expire after 2,490 minutes. No new orders while the spread is wider than 0.35 in price (measured in price, so it means the same on 2-digit and 3-digit gold quotes). If equity falls 5% below the day's starting equity, it places no new orders for the rest of that day. The lot is fixed at 0.01: no averaging down, no martingale.
Why you can trust the numbers
Every figure on this page comes from one routine you can repeat:
- Tester and data: MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, "Every tick based on real ticks", history quality 100%.
- Broker, symbol, period: Exness Technologies Ltd, XAUUSD H1, 2022.02.01 - 2026.09.25.
- Account: initial deposit $500, leverage 1:500, default inputs (nothing optimised on this window).
- Three runs, median shown: three runs with random execution delay; the run with the median profit factor is shown. Profit factor of the three runs: 1.51 - 1.59; maximum equity drawdown of the three runs: $50 - $54.
- Second broker: the same test on XMTrading KIWAMI is shown under the table, and it is noticeably weaker.
If your run differs, post your broker and report in the Comments tab.
Backtest (reproducible with default inputs)
| Net profit | +$231 (+46.2% of the initial deposit) |
| Profit factor | 1.53 |
| Maximum equity drawdown | $54 (10.8% of $500; 1.8% of $3,000) |
| Trades | 1,146 (win rate 60.0%) |
| Average win / average loss | $0.97 / $0.95 |
| Longest losing streak | 14 trades |
| Most positions open at once | 1 |
| Trades per weekday | 0.94 |
By year (net profit / profit factor / trades):
| 2022 | +$65 | 1.96 | 226 |
| 2023 | -$4 | 0.96 | 243 |
| 2024 | +$28 | 1.29 | 244 |
| 2025 | +$50 | 1.56 | 265 |
| 2026 | +$92 | 2.16 | 168 |
2022 is partial (from 2022.02.01); 2026 is partial (to 2026.09.25).
Long and short trades (same report, split from its deal history):
| Trades | Net profit | Profit factor | |
| Long | 668 | +$136 | 1.56 |
| Short | 478 | +$95 | 1.49 |
Same test on XMTrading KIWAMI (GOLD#, history quality 100%, same period and inputs, median of three random-delay runs): net profit +$75, profit factor 1.12, maximum equity drawdown $116 (23.2%), 1,148 trades.
Re-tested 2026-09-30 on another Exness server (Exness-MT5Real5), same period and inputs, three random-delay runs each: at $500, profit factor 1.47 - 1.50 and maximum equity drawdown $50 - $53; at $1,000, profit factor 1.47 - 1.52 and maximum equity drawdown $53 - $56 (5.3% - 5.6% of $1,000). A larger deposit does not change the fixed 0.01 lot, so the money figures stay about the same.
Requirements
- XAUUSD, H1 chart, one chart. Any account type, hedging or netting (one trade at a time).
- Recommended deposit: $500 per 0.01 lot (the deposit used in the test above).
- A low-spread gold account; above 0.35 spread it does not place orders. A VPS running 24/5.
Risks
- Drawdown: the maximum equity drawdown in the test is $54, 10.8% of the $500 deposit. Size accordingly; we consider 10% the comfortable ceiling.
- Spread and execution: results depend strongly on both. On the second broker the same test gave profit factor 1.12 and a drawdown of $116 (23.2%). Use a low-spread gold account.
- Losing runs: win rate 60.0%. The longest losing streak in the test was 14 trades.
- Profit is uneven over time: 2025-2026 account for 61.5% of the net profit. Years with a loss: 2023.
- Tick data note: the report shows history quality 100%, but the tester log shows that for 5.1% of minute bars the real ticks did not match the bar prices; the tester generated ticks for those minutes.
Inputs

Keep the defaults to reproduce the test.
Where it sits in the lineup
Gold (XAUUSD), from one behaviour to the full set:
- Gold Swing Break MT5: one H4 swing breakout, one position at a time, low frequency.
- Gold Flash Scalper MT5: 32-hour channel breakout, one position at a time, fast trailing stop. The entry point for small accounts.
- Triple Trigger MT5: breakouts of the 24, 48 and 72-hour rolling high/low, trailing exits.
- Gold Nine Layer: a nine-slot pivot-breakout group on one chart (7 slots active in the default tables).
- Gold Grand Line MT5: 6 groups on one chart, 29 active facets. It contains the Gold Nine Layer, Gold Swing Break and Gold Flash Scalper engines (same rules and tables) plus three groups that are not sold separately on MQL5. Triple Trigger is not part of it.
Other markets:
- OIL Surge Break MT5: WTI crude oil (USOIL) H1 swing breakouts.
- Relay Grid MT5: AUDNZD / AUDCAD / NZDCAD mean-reversion grid whose lot grows with each level, no stop loss by default. The only grid in the lineup; every other EA above trades 0.01 lot per order with no averaging down and no martingale.
Utility:
- Adaptive Closer MT5 (free): manage all open positions on a symbol as one book from a chart panel.
The same 32-hour channel engine, with the same rules, is one of the six groups inside Gold Grand Line MT5.
