OVERVIEW
While typical tools evaluate price through lagging averages, the Havoc-Gradient Entropy Matrix (HGEM) maps the continuous transition of market energy. Built on Information Theory, it tracks the cyclical compression of price (Order) to its explosive release (Chaos). Fusing Shannon Entropy, VoVix (Volatility Scaling), and CWAI (Microstructural Order Flow) into one cohesive tool, HGEM provides mathematically gated, institutional-grade reversal and breakout signals.

THE PARADIGM: ORDER VS. CHAOS
  • Order (Compression): Low entropy. The market is consolidating and building kinetic energy. This is where HGEM arms itself for a trade.
  • Chaos (Expansion): High entropy. The market is aggressively repricing. This is where HGEM locks out late/false signals.

CORE ENGINES
  1. Shannon Entropy Engine: A 50-period rolling window measuring market predictability. It mathematically gates signals, ensuring entries only occur when the market has potential energy to move.
  2. CWAI Index: Detrends volume and price to calculate true institutional pressure using candlestick geometry, processed through a Double EMA gradient and Z-Score.
  3. VoVix Spark: Measures the spread between Fast and Slow ATRs against a rolling Standard Deviation to identify the exact spark that ignites a trend.
  4. Chaos Squeeze Gauge: A visual baseline histogram showing the active market regime (Green = ARMED, Orange = TRANSITION, Red = CHAOS).

SIGNALS & DASHBOARD
The Signal Engine continuously scans the CWAI for threshold crosses, but ONLY prints an entry arrow if the Entropy Engine and VoVix confirm the market isn't exhausted.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does HGEM repaint?
No. Once a bar closes, all calculations (CWAI, Entropy, Signals) are permanently locked. On the live open bar, the CWAI line shifts dynamically with live order flow until the close.

What is Shannon Entropy in trading?
It is a formula measuring historical volatility randomness. High entropy = wild, unpredictable, and exhausted (bad time to enter). Low entropy = highly structured and building pressure (perfect time to prepare for a breakout).

Why fewer signals on Conservative setting?
Conservative uses a strict mathematical "Gate." If Entropy is too high, it refuses to print a signal, even if order flow looks good. This protects you from buying the top of a FOMO move.
