Gold Spectrum EA — Multi-Strategy Gold Trader

AUTO_DD — adaptive risk

Instead of choosing a fixed risk percentage, define the maximum drawdown you can tolerate. The EA scales the risk per trade linearly to match it.

  • Target 5% DD → conservative risk per trade
  • Target 8% DD → balanced risk per trade
  • Target 10% DD → aggressive risk per trade

Risk is clamped to a safe range of [0.05%, 3.0%] per trade. Classic fixed-risk modes ( LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH / CUSTOM ) are also available.

News filter (NFP)

The Non-Farm Payrolls release (first Friday of each month, 8:30 ET) is the most volatile event for XAUUSD. When enabled, the EA closes open positions and cancels pending orders 100 minutes before the release and resumes operation 60 minutes after. Times are fully configurable.

Recommended setup

  • Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold)
  • Timeframe: any (EA uses its own internal timeframes)
  • Account: ECN/RAW, low spread, leverage 1:100 or higher
  • Minimum capital: €1,000 (€3,000+ recommended)
  • VPS: recommended for 24/7 stability

Important notes

This EA does not use grid, martingale or averaging. Each trade is individually sized and protected by a hard stop loss. Past backtest performance does not guarantee future results. Gold is a volatile asset — start small, validate on demo first, scale up after a period of live observation.
