TimeGap Block SMC v3.00
TimeGap Block SMC is an indicator for MetaTrader 5 that automatically detects price areas where the market passed through a range too quickly and spent almost no time inside the zone. Such areas often point to an imbalance between supply and demand.
When price returns to these areas, the market may show a reaction: a bounce, a slowdown, partial filling of the zone, or a breakout. The indicator is built on Smart Money Concepts logic and helps analyze market structure without manual chart markup.
What the indicator shows
TimeGap Block SMC identifies zones where price spent a minimal amount of time. These are not ordinary support and resistance levels, but areas of inefficient movement formed during an impulse. The indicator analyzes history, plots the detected zones on the chart, and visually separates them by significance.
It works on various instruments and timeframes: from M1–M5 for scalping to H4–D1 for calmer trading.

How to use the zones
Time Gap zones can be used as areas of potential price reaction. When price returns to a zone, the trader evaluates its behavior: whether a slowdown, a reversal candle, a false breakout, an impulsive hold, or a continuation appears.
Strong zones can serve as the basis for a trading idea. Medium zones are better used as additional confirmation. Weak zones should be considered only together with other analysis factors.
Trading scenarios
Bounce from a zone. Price returns to the imbalance area, shows a reaction, and continues moving away from the zone.
Breakout and fill. Price passes through the range, consolidates beyond its border, and confirms continuation of the impulse.
Combined analysis. A Time Gap zone is used together with market structure, liquidity levels, Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps, ATR, volume, and the direction of the main trend.
Recommended settings
For scalping, you can use a shorter search range and more sensitive parameters. For intraday trading, the standard settings work well. For H4 and D1, it is better to increase the analysis depth and the minimum Time Gap duration so that only the most significant zones remain on the chart.
Installation
Copy the indicator file into the MQL5/Indicators folder, then restart MetaTrader 5 or refresh the Navigator window. The indicator will appear under custom indicators. Drag TimeGap Block SMC onto the chart of the required instrument — after launch, the indicator analyzes the history and displays the detected zones.
Alerts
The indicator can send alerts when price approaches a Time Gap zone, when the area is tested, and on a breakout. Sound signals, Push notifications, and E-mail alerts are supported.
Multi-Timeframe version
For deeper analysis, an extended version is available — Multi-Timeframe TimeGap Block SMC. It analyzes several timeframes at once and finds zones that align across different periods. Such areas usually carry greater significance because they are confirmed by the structure of higher and lower timeframes. The premium version offers multi-timeframe analysis, confluence zone detection, signal prioritization, and an extended alert system.
Important
TimeGap Block SMC is a market structure analysis tool, not a ready-made trading system. The highest-quality signals appear where a Time Gap zone coincides with other factors: trend, liquidity, a strong level, an Order Block, or a Fair Value Gap. During major news events, zones can break without the usual reaction, so such periods should be treated separately.
