Why do my product descriptions keep getting flagged?

I have 6 free tools on MQL5 market. Every time I update the description, it gets flagged as 'bad description' and my product rating lowers.

I'm trying to write honest, helpful descriptions, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Can someone explain what MQL5 considers a 'bad description'? What should I avoid writing?

Thank you.

Rewrite descriptions with neutral, factual language.

Remove all external links, emojis and excessive formatting.

Focus on strategy explanation, usage instructions and parameter details.

Van Minh Nguyen discusses issues with MQL5 Market product ratings, noting that descriptions flagged as 'bad' despite following rules. He mentions rewriting descriptions, translating into all languages, and changing formatting to paragraphs. He also highlights inconsistencies in the rating system, such as changes in status when switching between free and paid products, and potential commercial bias. He appreciates the feedback and notes that his product ratings improved after following the suggested changes.

I have gone through the same situation. Based on my experience, here are some practical tips that helped me:

1. Avoid emojis entirely in your product descriptions. MQL5 Market has strict rules and emojis are one of the most common reasons descriptions get flagged.

2. Use neutral, objective language. Avoid overpromising results or using marketing-style phrases that can be seen as misleading.

3. Do not include external links in the description. Keep everything self-contained within the MQL5 platform.

4. Structure your description clearly: explain the strategy logic, list the input parameters, and describe how to use the tool correctly.

5. Pay close attention to your product thumbnail image. A clean, professional thumbnail image makes a big difference, both for moderation and for attracting users. It reflects the quality of your product.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your products.

Use the tools that are available there. For example, when adding bullet points, use the built in bullet point function. If you want to create a numbered list of features, use the built in numbering function.

Do not overuse bold text, do not add links to other websites.

Maybe you used too many emojis or highlights. I read that it should be as simple as possible.
