New MetaTrader 5 Platform Build 5430: Enhanced Charts Powered by Blend2D - page 2

Новая версия платформы MetaTrader 5 build 5430: Улучшенные графики на движке Blend2D

Renat Fatkhullin, 2025.11.14 19:31

We’ve rolled the chart graphics engine back to GDI.

We’ll re-enable Blend2D once the text-rendering issues are fixed.

I’ve just updated the terminal from 5407 to 5430. My 5430 build is using GDI.

Let the project be supported by Metaquotes as well...

Confirmed.
This issue now seems to be resolved as of build 5430, upgraded from 5413 which had the issue. Appreciate the support.

making them appear a bit blurry and not very sharp.

I am a new user.
Don't you have a support group for new users?

I have an issue .
My chart cant move to the centre. This is a new issue..
I can hardly see the latest action..
How do I get help

I think you are right.

There may have been too many outstanding graphics glitches with the new Blend2D library for them to release it to production so they backed the change out at the last minute.

I noticed that the glitches returned on the beta branch shortly after the 5430 production rollout

Hopefully they will get them ironed out before the next release

[BUG] MT5 Build 5440 (21 Nov 2025): Critical GUI Rendering Issue in Custom MQL Applications

Andrey Barinov, 2025.12.05 11:02

Something is still broken in the new builds.

The chart is not showing under 100% transparent canvas.

Here is the pic:

Some artefacts can be seen, but not the chart...

Also, if the transparency is not 100% (alfa!=0), the chart is visible...

Subject: Critical Regression in Graph Rendering (Blend2D) - Request for Legacy GDI Option

Dear MetaQuotes Team,

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding the visual degradation introduced with the new graphics engine (Blend2D) in recent MT5 builds (specifically observed post-build 5430). While the intention may have been modernization, the result is a significant loss of precision and readability, which are paramount for professional trading.

Please review the attached comparison images carefully.

1. The "Anti-Aliasing" Problem

Financial charts rely on precise, 1-pixel lines to denote price levels, wicks, and indicators. The new engine applies forced anti-aliasing to these elements.
  • Result: Instead of sharp, high-contrast lines, we now have blurred, "smudged" lines with reduced contrast.
  • Visual Evidence: Please compare the candle wicks (shadows) in the attached images.
  1.     Image 1 (Legacy/GDI): Wicks are sharp, pixel-perfect lines. The High/Low values are instantly readable.
  2.     Image 2 (Current/Blend2D): Wicks appear gray and out-of-focus due to smoothing artifacts. They blend into the background.

2. Impact on Custom Indicators (e.g., Heikin Ashi)

As a developer of custom indicators, I have found that the new engine breaks the visual integrity of existing tools.
  • The smoothing effect artificially thickens objects.
  • Candle bodies lose their definition.
  • It is currently impossible to implement a crisp, professional-looking Heikin Ashi indicator because the engine distorts the geometry with unnecessary smoothing.

3. Performance vs. Usability

The alleged performance benefits of Blend2D are irrelevant if the chart becomes harder to read. In a professional environment, visual clarity and eye comfort (contrast) are far more important than theoretical rendering speed of graphic objects. The current rendering causes significant eye strain during long sessions due to the "blurry" effect.

My Request:
I strongly urge you to make the new rendering engine optional.
Please restore the ability to use the legacy GDI rendering for users who prioritize mathematical precision and visual sharpness over smoothed aesthetics. Do not force a "vector-art" style on a precision financial tool.

Thank you for considering the feedback of the professional trading community.

It is already optional if you don't use a beta build but the last release 5430

I guess it is only “optional” until the next release build… and it is coming :)
