MT5 Setup always fails - “Sorry, something went wrong”

@Momcilo Jovanovic

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install MetaTrader 5 on my Windows 11 PC, but every time I launch the installer (mt5setup.exe), I get the error message: “Sorry, something went wrong: try again later.” No matter which broker or source I try, I always get the same result.

I believe the issue is with the installer not being able to connect to MetaQuotes servers. I have tried disabling antivirus, running as administrator, and using different internet connections.

Is there anyone who can kindly share their working terminal folder (a pre-installed portable version of MT5), ideally zipped, so I can copy it to my machine and run it directly?

Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards,
Momčilo

Download a terminal64 from somewhere, and make a portable version of MT5.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to any working installation of MetaTrader 5 on any machine, so I can't get the terminal64.exe file or the full folder structure.

Would anyone be kind enough to upload their working MetaTrader 5 installation folder (with terminal64.exe and MQL5 subfolder) as a .zip, ideally with a /portable setup?

That would really help me get back up and running. Thanks in advance!

MT5 Build 5104 — Strategy Tester Not Displaying Any Timeframes (M1, M5, H1, etc.) except for the one that we choose in strategy tester terminal!

This user backup every mt5 build unofficially in telegram, must be helpful. You may find telegram channel link in his bio however make sure this is not an official way of restoring mt5 to older version. You may also report this issue to your broker

Hi Rakesh,

I'm in exactly the same situation — I've tried to install MetaTrader 5 multiple times on my Windows 11 machine, but I always get the same error:
"Sorry, something went wrong: try again later."

I've disabled antivirus, tried different internet connections, run as administrator... nothing worked.
Like you, I also need a working terminal64.exe with the full folder structure in a .zip , ideally as a portable setup.

If anyone is willing to upload their working MT5 folder, it would really help us both get back on track.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Best regards,
Momcilo
