The MQL points have no direct relation to Forex and the Exchange.
MQL is not for traders, it's for programmers.
And non-programmers impose their definitions on us - everyone is good at something.
However, I'm tired of it all. Call it what you like - but for yourself.
We don't just need to impose.
well, not really -- have you seen the logo?
-- it means "support each other." (interpretation is arbitrary, different meaning may be implied)
in MQL there is: 1) a point as a single change of a quote, and 2) the value of a quote.
This is enough to a) programmatically work out a Quote and b) show the result in any form convenient and understandable to a user (according to all proper definitions of "pip", "pip" and all others).
Prince, it is clear to the horse, as Alla Yurievna said.
Neither forex nor the stock exchange has anything directly to do with the MQL point.
The point is not for traders, it is for programmers.
But non-programmers impose their definitions on us - everyone is good at what he/she does.

We do not need only
And here we have non-programmers imposing their definitions on us - everyone is good at what he/she does.
Poor little people.

However, you can call a rail a stick - no one minds. But it will not become a stick for railwaymen. But for you, you can call it anything you want.
Okay, I'm tired... This is bullshit, not a branch.
No one's pushing it. One question, MQ was born when? The terms must have been taken off the shelf.
MQL has: 1) a pip as a single change of a quote, and 2) the value of a quote.
This is enough to a) programmatically work out a quote and b) present the result to the user in any convenient and understandable form (according to all the correct definitions of "point", "pips" and all others).
If MQ didn't start using the word pips, there would be no questions asked of them, at all.
ps. sorry, couldn't resist.
