Why? If Margin is counted from Equity?
I have a different opinion. Give people a constructor and let them build whatever they want. There is already a lot of things in the HT architecture. For example, you can change the set of columns or insert new ones. If they want to add a column of maximum drawdown for each position - please, if they want profit in points - please. Their own summary - no problem.
I.e. go not from the fact that "I know better what you need", but from the fact that "keep the constructor and mould whatever you want".
95% of users won't even adjust columns if it can't be done "just with a mouse".
It's the 21st century and consumer society )
I have a simple answer to this: HT is not a clone of MT terminal. For example, you will be very surprised at the swaps that will soon appear in it.
Vasily, I fully support you! On swaps - at least in per cent, not in points, as it is common in all terminals. It is necessary not to follow the established imposed misconceptions, but to proceed from the definition of the concepts themselves.
We should also show how much margin is eaten by each separate limit order and open pose with its TakeProfit (it also eats margin). In short, the visual representation should be logical, not habitual.
ZY Vasily, I haven't read the additional lines from the article yet - time is tight.
1 :100 leverage. Account 1000$. We open an order on USDCAD for 1 lot. I.e. we use 100% margin. StopOut will not occur until the position goes down by 100 pips.
That's correct. However, Magin will not be converted a la MT for the time being, as the vast majority of HT owners remain neutral.

And you don't have to. Speaker customisation is an option for enthusiasts and technically advanced users. The default settings are typical and comfortable for most people.
By the way, the basic settings could be displayed in inputs. The window stretches, lists-enumerations allow convenient selection.
And write the made choice to a file, and use it until the user changes something else.
Now there are almost no such settings that could be put in the inputs window, for example, in the form of lists. And in the future it will not be difficult to write your own graphical window of settings.
...It is necessary not to follow the established imposed misconceptions, but to proceed from the definition of the concepts themselves.

Swap is a financial transaction calculated for the current net position . In reality, a swap is an independent brokerage transaction, not some attribute of a trade transaction with out direction, as it is presented by MT users. Therefore, swap in HT will be displayed as a separate historical transaction, but additionally a classic swap column will be added.
Vasily, fully support! On swaps - at least in per cent, not in points, as it is common in all terminals. ....

It would be better to load and draw a panel (empty, a little shaded), and show loading in the centre with a progress_bar (there are ready-made ones in the base).
Or at least just centre the progress_bar, so you don't have to look for a small comment.
I'll make a simple small window, with a status bar in the middle. It's simple and much prettier than archaic Comment.
Andrei, don't forget that the mechanism of history loading is the same for both the panel and API, where there is no graphical library at all. Therefore, it is fundamentally impossible to display the panel at the moment of loading.
HedgeTerminal 1.03 update:
All products**:
- ProgressBar added. Load status is now visible in a small graphical window:
This progress bar is displayed for both the panel and the HedgeTerminalAPI
PANEL:
- The chart is now specially prepared for the table before loading. Once the EA is unloaded, the state of the chart is restored to its original state. Now the panel looks much prettier:
- Fixed Margin reading. Now it really shows the level of margin loading from 0 to 100%:
- Added seconds to Entry Date and Exit Date columns:
API, article:
- The second part of the article describing software interaction with the HedgeTerminalAPI library has been released:"Multidirectional trading and hedging positions in MetaTrader 5 using HedgeTerminal API, part 2".
In addition to the description of interaction with the library, the article contains information about the basics of multithreaded programming and reveals the specifics of asynchronous trading operations.
