PapaYozh:
Is that an assumption?

Partly. I don't know whether it's true or not, I've heard that these unpretentious cognacs are not infused in oak barrels, but in ordinary metal vats with the addition of oak splinters.

PapaYozh:

I can give you a sample at your favourite price - 100 quid.

;)

You can find an edible drink for 100 quid.

Sort of. I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard that these unpretentious cognacs are not infused in oak barrels, but in ordinary metal vats with oak splinters added.

Enamelled. Like sauerkraut.

You can find VSOP for at least 100.

Maybe. This is the first I've heard of it.

Going back to Balanesta - it's mellow to drink and there are no repercussions. What's disturbing is that the bottle has been transformed from "ordinary" into a "gift" bottle. It's no wonder that the price is going to go up.

Kind of. I don't know if it's true or not, I've heard that these cheap cognacs are not infused in oak barrels, but in ordinary metal vats with the addition of oak splinters.
Both these and the imported ones, apart from the cool brands. The technology is so progressive now. Not wood chips, of course, but bars from a reliable supplier. Derbent is the only one left with barrels; the Armenians have already been bought by the French and also switched to an accelerated technology.

When I finish my New Year's supply, I'll buy a litre of three-year-old Armenian, which works out at 250 for 0.5. I'll try it and report back.

Going back to Balanesta - it's mellifluous and has no consequences. What's disturbing is that the bottle has been transformed from "regular" to "gift". It must be for the forthcoming rise in price.

I'll stop by tomorrow and get a sample. I'm going to see what kind of an okei it is. They've just opened one right next door.

Three-year-olds are a bit stiff, though.

It's a "Rumo" now :)

Ha! Decided to start the year here - opened the pose. Short. Lucky guess! ))) Well it was hard to miss.

But now I'm watching with rapt attention. I don't know what's gonna happen...

I have to have 5 stars (without the card it's 279p).
