Dynamic zone indicators ... - page 37

mrtools:
Hello Dasio, On the first post of this thread Mladen posted a rar. file with the dynamic zone dll file, this file goes in experts/library folder in metatrader, without that the indicator won't work, also need to make sure you have allow dll imports checked on tools/options/Expert Advisors the indicator should work then.

Thank you. Now works

Dynamic zone trix (trix calculated the way Jack K. Hutson described in his article where he introduced tris as an indicator - the article can be downloaded from here : https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/179524 )

mladen et al,

After reading Hutson on Warren regarding Fourier analysis to identify trix 'alpha', I thought I'd have a look at using Goertzel to determine dominant periods (or, frequencies). I've used more than the two as seen here and they seem to paint a convincing and helpful picture. (after two though, its hard to visualize the contribution)

Hutson computing a cutoff frequency with 'cursor positions' is confusing - maybe one has to have the Nov/Dec 1983 Technical Analysis article? Anyway, if we can agree on 'alpha', perhaps Goertzel will tell us the trix parameter. What do you think? If Goertzel is good at this, should the Goertzel cycle determinant portion be included in trix to drive it automatically by option or is that too much trouble with little reward? Regardless, thank you for another fine tool.

This one is the indicator from this post : https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/179807/page118 with a dynamic zero line instead of static one. It seems that with a dynamic zero line it is reacting faster (especially if post smoothing is applied to the value of the indicator itself) Because of that a mild post-smoothing is set as a default post smoothing in the indicator (without it it is to "nervous" for my taste )

mladen, any ideas to increase sensitivity to changes in DZ polychromatic momentum 3

mladen,

Using momentum changes as one of the lynch pins for entering and exiting trades, is there any way to alter either the DZ polychromatic momentum 3 indicator, or any other momentum indicators you are aware of, or to create a new one, which shows the following gradations of change in the same direction of momentum (up versus down).

For going long: increasing (accelerating) momentum vs same (neutral) momentum vs decreasing (decelerating) momentum. And of course the same for going in the short direction. and to use different colors to show the changes in rate of momentum as described above.

Thank you so much for all of your tireless contributions to help this trading community.

Have a wonderful holiday season. You certainly deserve it.

We need some "bounded" indicator to form gradation (momentum indicators are unbounded so we do not know if the are close or how close to minimum or maximum). Will see what can be done (probably best to use position within dynamic zone bounds) and how (what is sure that it must be made as objects in metatrader 4 since metatrader 4 will allow only total of 8 colors which is not enough for any kind of decent gradation of colors)

mladen, thanks so much for looking into possible momentum gradation ideas

mladen,

Thanks so much for taking the time to look into this. A bounded indicator would be fine if it could help to indentify further gradations of change of momentum. have a terrific holiday.

Dynamic zone polychromatic momentum 4 ...

David

Here you go It is using dynamic zone bounds as a criteria for color gradient. You have to specify the extreme colors for up and down the rest is done by the indicator. It works in the multi time frame mode too. In case when you have a lt of bars on chart, I advise that you limit the number of bars that are drawn this way (metatrader does not like when there is too much objects on a chart, and gradient colors are drawn as objects)

mladen, thanks so much for even working on Sunday!!

mladen,

thanks so much for looking at this today on a Sunday. Will play with it today and get back to you tonite/tomorrow with comments. Thanks once again and again have a wonderful holiday.

Would it be possible to show arrows on the chart when the lines cross on a closed candle??

Thank you.

mladen,

I have slight confusion about mechanically setting up color gradation on momentum indi. If set up primary up color to green on input "Color up" does the indi automatically create gradations based on that color? if not how do I do it? and what does Color tab #3 color refer to please? Sorry for the inane newby questions. Thanks so much for all your help. Once again, have a great holiday season.
