I am trading in a live US account with no issues. All of my trades on the same pair close at the same time. I believe that I did notice what you are talking about on my demo accounts, but I haven't had any issues with my live account.

Thanks for the reply ND. In visual backtests I noticed it would close some groups in a collective basket, but if it got in "trouble" would close later positions first to minimize drawdown. This strategy simply works better and I understand why this was done this way. This FIFO rule was the one that really bothered me when they put all these in place. It is, after all an accounting issue and not one that need be done on the trading platform. Anyway, thanks again.

Thank you. I am just worried about it happening one day, and getting stuck, that's my only fear. Can I ask which .set file you are using? I have been working with it quite a bit and haven't found a setting that avoids this in backtests.

Unfortunately can't do this in the US (later trade closed first).

I am using the settings that newdigital recommends here. I am using MB Trading, so I have adjusted the trading times accordingly based on MB Trading's server time. But other than the time changes, I have made no other changes to the settings.

I understand what you are looking at with FIFO. I've checked my error logs on MT4 and I haven't found any instances where the EA tried to close the trades in the wrong order. It always seems to close the first trade first, like it should:

I never backtest because I have never found the results to be reliable. Plus, newdigital has done all the forward testing for us.

I thought I knew the FIFO rule, but I did a little research and found this page HERE.

I learned that you can only close the first trade if they are the same number of lots, but if the lots are different, you can close each one seperately in any order. This EA uses different lots, so that is why I've never seen a problem I guess. In the case that it does open trades with the same number of lots (ie .08 lots, and another trade of .08 lots), it seems to still close the first trade first.
