My Last Fisher strategy - page 3

It is soooooooo good when there is no need for me to prove anything...

As I said, it was proven a long time ago

Now, there is a whole thread about Solar wind indicator (that is the indicator that you know by the name of Fisher yurik) You can start by reading this post for start : https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general and than you can continue reading the whole thread https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/general

Of Ehlers fisher transform that never does repaint : even I posted one (among other humble idiots that were trying to clean up that mess caused by error in converting TradeStation code to metatrader) You may check it here : https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/174980/page5 (now, that one is 100% sure that it does not repaint, believe me)

Now, as of the bet : what did I won? You writing in normal size letters?

Dawns_Mist:

I respect your advice .. but i don't like this way in Criticism any thing .. you should discuss the advantages and disadvantages in Logical manner .

Any way ..

Prove to me that the Fisher may repaint after 2 candles .

I bet on that .. after the closure of the second candle it never repaints .. and in my way i tried to avoid it ...

after all ... i w'll attach an indicator from the fisher group which never repaints . after that we will discuss the strategy .

Your indicator repaints- the only thing I can prove that is you're stubborn.

This is the problem with indicators - They repaint. As a result history is no good to depend on as current live (forward testinging) results will be drastically different from the visual history of most all indicators being used in forex.

The painful frustrating truth.

I've actually had very good success....

...with the original repainting indicator recently. I've been placing trades manually on a break of the histogram and taking 20 pips at a time on GJ... usually once or twice a day on the hourly chart.

Repaint or not, it's giving me (and has been) great signals when taking other time frames into account (larger time frame S&R and Fib, H4 Heiken Ashi along with moving averages on smaller time frames for entries/exits). The typical trade lasts between 15 and 90 minutes.

I've been using both the original and the "fixed" versions and the original is performing perfectly even when a bar gets repainted. The fixed version lags. If it looks like the move has already happened and multiple candles are repainted, I'll just check to see if it's justified on the other time frames. If I'm looking at a daily breakout, I'll lower risk and take it. Otherwise I'm happy to wait for the next signal.

I certainly agree that history is not a good measure of success for this indicator. I would also highly discourage trading it on any time frame smaller than an hour.

Repaint or not ....

To everyone afraid from the fisher .. i said that it repaints before .. but it repaints in renge of 2 candles only and this matter you can control it , and the other problem is that its colors may overlapping which needs to refresh the chart by going to another timeframe and return back to the timeframe you want .

I've alot of indicators which never repaint but i'm sure that i can accustom this indicator and make a fantastic strategy .

I'll prove that we can use fisher which repaints to make a good trades .. but wait while the market open to discuss how can we accustom this indicator in the 1M time frame if you want .

Agree with you ...

This is a proof that you can accustom this indicator to make profites .. thank you bro .... and keep on & tell us the rules .

This is a proof that you can accustom this indicator( but it still repaint, high risk)..................

mladen say the truth...it means he care bout us...

thanks mladen...

Mladen speaks the truth, repainting indicators are worthless. You might get a month's worth of positive results, maybe even two, but in the long run..... it's going to lose. Trust me, I know from experience.

As usual, it is obvious that the summer vacations are here.

When it comes to coding, technical analysis or trading using words like "afraid from fisher" is something that that is highly unusual and I must say odd. Afraid of what? This is not a game. It is supposed to be a business of making money, not "jumping in, and surviving" for the ones that "dare". I rather think that there are people that need to make money so bad, that they choose to "believe" instead to know (or, at least, to learn)

No wonder that that 95% still exist

Of repainting only 2 bars : you do not need opened market to test that Here is a test picture of Fisher yurik indicators posted on post #1 and #4 of this thread (and reattached here - just in case) that will help count the bars that are repainted.

An interesting reincarnation I must say. The one I know at least cleaned up the "double" bars.

The additional error it is caused by the line that "makes sure that only 2 bars are repainted" (line 68 of the source for(i=limit-2; i>=0; i--)).

Sorry to disappoint everybody, but that line does nothing of a sort
