Channel indicator

Hi

First of all let me say that I am new to all this so please, bear with me on the stupid questions ;-)

I am looking for an indicator, that draws a High/Low channel on the daily chart.

I would like to experiment a bit, so I need to be able to change how long the channel is looking back at the high/lows for example 35 days back or 50 days back.

So the channel would show me the highest and lowest price in the last x number of days. x= the number of days i set

Is this possible?

Keltner Channel

Thanks for the Keltner Channel, I still found it useful till today, have you upgrade this indicator

 

Keltner channel oscillator ...

A good old Keltner channel in a bit different form ...

This one is made as an oscillator and histogram bars are marking channel breakout(s). One additional option compared to usual ones is added : if one uses Keltner channel from breakout, then it is logical not to use current value for calculation but the previous (already closed bar) values of moving average and atr. For that purpose MaAtrShift parameter is added : 0 for current bar (when it works like all the other Keltner channel indicators) or 1 for previous bar (you can use other value too, but the purpose of even older value than the first previous is questionable).

 

Alarm

I wonder if someone could add an alarm to the keltner channel so when it close above/below it gives an alarm.

Have this version you can chose either the high or low or close breaking out upper or lower channel.

do you think that indicator will --- repaint itself after we use it to ENTER -- in 2 days time, i.e. T+2days

I have not try it, and I am not trying to imply anything

No repainting on closed bar, this I know.
