Loss in Performance of EAs

newdigital:
Some members asked to provide quick review about elite EAs traded during the past week so I am making some short description here. I will not post the statements (the statements will be uploaded during the weekend as usually).

StepMAExpert_v1.45 EA.

As we know - it is the most stable version of the StepMAExpert EAs (there are many versions posted in elite sections and few versions are traded).

EA lost some pips for the past week but it is profitable in general: EA made 2,950 pips (4 digit pips) with profit factor 1.8 since June 2009 traded on 1 account with unchanged setting/parameters. This version is for GBPUSD only. It is not hedge and openning 1 trade per symbol.

Same EA with timefilter made 6,000 pips since June 2009 and it is very good results: EA is not traded often (especially if with timefilter).

Scalp_net_v1.5 with and without timefilter.

It was difficult weeks for those 2 versions: small profit (26 pips, small loss, than small profit once again).

But generally talking - it is one of the most profitable EAs:

version without timefilter made 7.255 pips and with timefilter made 5,374 pips (since June 2009 traded on 1 account). It is also good as this system is just EMA crossing system. And as we know - no any EMA crossing system can be profitable for the long time with same settings: market is changed but settings are same ...

This system is very simple one and any version of this EA can be traded manually without any problem at all.

BrainExpert_v2 EA.

It is Anti-MTF EA (traded on highier timeframe taking the direction on the lower timeframe):

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/178788

Because of the nature of Anti-MTF systems so those kind of systems are having: small loss, or small profit, or big profit (in the other systems - it can be big loss with big profit, but this kind of systems are not having big losses).

It is traded very slowly but some pairs are very profitable (since June 2009 in the way as "attached EA to the chart in JUne 2009 and forget for more than 1 year taking the statements only):

CHFJPY (+5,448 pips with profit factor 1.79)

EURJPY (+4,024 pips with profit factor 1.25)

GBPCHF (+5,627 pips with profit factor 2.59)

But this EA is not trading often.

More to follow ...

Mr. newdigital,

Are these your own live test result ? I found different performance of these EAs at RAS web site.

Nomura

Yes, I am only one who is forward testing it and it was connected with RAS using my Metatraders where I am testing it. Results should be the same with RAS. The only things with RAS that they are not refreshing the pages/ratings/pips in often way etc ... For example:

- I can check the stats/results in my Metatraders for every hours (as it was refreshed by Igorad's indicators for every hours with the statrments I am postinghere during the weekends);

- RAS is not refreshing the results for all the calculation for every hours ... and sometimes - it is not refreshed weekly in the end of the market opened (Friday evening).

I mean: when I am taking the statements on Friday everyning so I am talking the results which were calculated few minutes ago. RAS - many days ago.

That is why it is different simetimes.

And I am forward testing since 2006 but some systems are connected with RAS for 1 and half years ago no more ...

But it can be analyzed everything in excel files which I am posting concarning profit and loss.

Scalp_net_v1.5 did +99 pips for this week and +26 pips for the last week. And +74 pips for August.

Same EA with timefilter: +49 pips for this week, and -53 loss for ther August.

StepMAExpert_v1.45 EA: -24 for this week, -334 loss for August. But I want to say that I am still thinking that it is most stable version for all Step EAs: I attached it to the chart in December 2006 and this EA made 29 pips in profit for the first week. And this EA finished 2007 years with 1083 pips in profit; and finish 2009 with 2208 pips totally (strarted from 2006 first week).

And it is not hedge, not scalping. It is 1 trade per symbol trading GBPUSD only and few trades per month.

All Scalp_net versions and all StepMAExpert versions are 'EMA crossing systems with unchanged settings for the indicators since 2006' so according to the nature of those systems - the profit is always "zigzaging" with profit/loss all the time. It is the nature for the systems based on MA indicators' crossing.

BrainExpert_v2 EA is not connected with RAS.
