SInce I installed 646, emails stop working. I use the same email configuration over the past 2 years.

Waste of time. I did telnet manually into and sent myself an email. You can try by yourself :
telnet mailgw.013net.net:25
MAIL FROM: blabla@blabla.com
RCPT TO: a valid email
DATA
whatever you want
then type "." to end
I have 2 machines that I have upgraded and both report the same issue.
I don't think my wife modified the Tools->options while I was sleeping. Well may be.
