Stop losses are very important, whether virtual or imprinted on the platform, a level at which you are will to take a risk that the price is going to hit and will not recover from.
Some say brokers actively look for stop losses on the platform??????
So whether it be actual or virtual, you need a predefined level of risk, unless you have a vast amount of money, then why trade in the first place, enjoy it!!
If you have a virtual SL then make sure you have your brokers number to call should you lose connection of the platform, couldn't quite believe that no one would not, unless they cannot be contacted via telephone, but always have some means of backup, if not, your taking a bigger risk than not using a SL at all.
Do this for long term: There are two possibilities - your are going to be Warren Buffet or you'll ask everyone not to trade financial market.
Only Fool trades without SL
