I am trying to figure out something with the Trailing Stop.

Assuming my Risk-Reward is 1:3rr.

At 1:2rr my SL is moved to BE.

When price moves to 1:2.5rr I want the SL to move to 1:1rr securing a 1r profit in case price reverses from the 1:2.5rr

How can i achieve this with the Trailing Stop pls?

Hi,

Yes, you can definitely achieve this using Trade Manager MT5.

In your case, the best option is to use the Multi-Level Break-Even feature, since you only want to make two specific SL adjustments — first to break even at 1:2RR, and then to secure a 1R profit when price reaches 1:2.5RR.

Here’s a video where this Multi-Level Break-Even function is explained in detail:

If you’d like help setting it up exactly the way you want, feel free to contact our support team via the contact form:

We’ll be happy to guide you through the configuration step by step.

Two Questions:

1) Is there a way to set Hotkey to use combination of ALT, Control, or Shift?

For example, I tried a hotkey setting of Alt+Shift+B but it didn't work.

Only Shift+B works, but that is dangerous because if I am typing an email in a separate window, but then I accidentally have MT5 active, I can accidentally trigger hotkey.

Is there a way to get something like Alt+Shift+b to work?

2) Can you Add 2 Buttons to the interface?  Add "Close All Buy" and "Close All Sell" in the user interface? It is very useful, especially when hedging.

Just like the All Profit and Loss buttons that shows the total profit/loss, the "Close All Buy" will show the net profit/loss of all buy positions.  The "Close All Sell" button will show the net profit/loss of all sell positions.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, it's not possible to use function keys like Alt or Control in Trade Manager hotkey combinations. Only the Shift key is supported for hotkeys.

This is due to a limitation in the MetaTrader platform itself. Keys like Alt and Control are reserved for internal MetaTrader shortcuts and cannot be reliably captured by custom tools like Trade Manager. That’s why combinations like Alt+Shift+B won’t work, and only Shift+B is accepted.

We understand the concern about accidentally triggering actions, especially when switching between windows, but unfortunately, this limitation is imposed by MetaTrader and cannot be bypassed at the moment.

Yes, you can definitely use the Trade Manager MT5 on a second MT5 platform.

To do this, simply open the Navigator window in your second MT5 platform, go to the Market tab, then click on My Purchases. There you’ll find the Trade Manager MT5. Just install it the same way you did the first time.

If you need any help with the installation process, feel free to contact our support team through the form at

Thanks. I still couldnt get it to work, so sent an email to your team. I got a reply within the hour, which showed me exactly what to do. The EA is now working. Great service and this EA is one of the best out there. For those who see this reply, this Trade Manager works perfectly on all charts. I trade Forex as well as Metals and Indices and it calculates my lot size based on risk percentage on all of them perfectly. Thanks again.

Hi. 👋

We’ve just released the latest update of Trade Manager for MT5 and MT4.

MT5 Trade Manager ver. 3.60 update

What’s new:

  • Added EQL parameter in the Equity Control function – now you can define profit targets and loss limits based on absolute Equity values, not just percentages.

  • Custom chart support added (MT5 only) – Trade Manager now works on non-standard charts such as Renko, second-based charts, etc.

More info about changes you can read here:

Hi. This issue usually means that some settings in your MT5 terminal need to be adjusted — there are a few places where AutoTrading must be enabled for everything to work correctly.

Please contact our technical support team at https://www.investsoft.eu/contact

We’ll walk you through all the necessary steps to get it up and running.

Hello.

Based on the log you shared, there are two possible reasons for the issue you’re experiencing:

1. Account currency and missing quote pair:
If your account is denominated in UST, and you're trading XAUUSD (which is quoted in USD), the system needs access to the USDUST or USTUSD pair in order to correctly calculate the contract size. Please check if this quote pair is visible in your Market Watch list in MetaTrader.

2. Prefix/Suffix settings:
If your broker uses clean symbol names without any prefix or suffix (e.g. just "XAUUSD" instead of "xauUSD.m"), you may need to disable auto-detection of prefix/suffix in the Trade Manager settings.
To do that, press F7 to open the settings window, scroll to the section called "------- PREFIX & SUFFIX ----------", and set "Auto detect" = FALSE. Then test if the lot size is calculated correctly.

Trade Manager MT5 & MT4

Janusz Trojca

We’ve just released a new video explaining the Equity Protection feature in the Trade Manager for MT4 and MT5.

In this video, you’ll learn how to automatically close all open positions when your account reaches a specific profit or loss level — whether as a fixed amount, a percentage, or an absolute equity value (EQL). You’ll also see how to enable the live account panel with a progress bar and how to delete pending orders once your target is reached.

This feature is especially helpful for traders using prop firm accounts or anyone who wants tighter control over risk and account equity.

🎥 Watch it here:

Here’s what you’ll find in the video:
🟢 Detailed explanation of each parameter in the Equity Protection section
🟢 How to set profit/loss limits using amount, equity level, or percentage
🟢 Examples of how the function behaves with different settings
🟢 How to track trades for a single symbol or across the entire account
🟢 How to automatically delete pending orders when limits are hit
🟢 How to enable and customize the real-time account status panel
