THV SMC Plus MT5 – Smart Money Concepts & Multi-Timeframe Analysis
Overview
THV SMC Plus MT5 is a comprehensive Smart Money Concepts (SMC) indicator designed to help traders analyze market structure, identify potential liquidity zones, and recognize high-probability trading setups directly on MetaTrader 5.
The indicator combines multiple price-action and institutional trading concepts into one customizable tool, including Break of Structure (BOS), Change of Character (CHoCH), Order Blocks (OB), Fair Value Gaps (FVG), liquidity sweeps, Equal Highs and Equal Lows, and Premium/Discount zones.
It also supports multi-timeframe directional analysis, allowing traders to evaluate the broader market bias before looking for potential entries on a lower timeframe.
Whether you trade Gold, Forex, indices, or cryptocurrencies, THV SMC Plus MT5 provides a flexible framework for understanding market structure and planning your trades.
Key Features
1. Market Structure – BOS & CHoCH
Identify important structural changes in the market.
-
Break of Structure (BOS): Highlights potential trend continuation when price breaks a significant structural level.
-
Change of Character (CHoCH): Identifies potential changes in market direction.
-
Internal Structure: Analyze short-term price movements and smaller structural shifts.
-
Swing Structure: Focus on major market highs, lows, and broader directional movements.
-
Higher High (HH), Higher Low (HL), Lower High (LH), Lower Low (LL): Label important swing points to help assess market trends.
2. Order Blocks (OB)
Identify potential bullish and bearish Order Block zones.
-
Display internal and swing Order Blocks independently.
-
Customize the number of zones displayed.
-
Use optional volume-weighted selection to prioritize Order Blocks.
-
Distinguish bullish and bearish zones with customizable colors and fill styles.
Order Blocks can be used to identify potential areas of buying or selling interest when price returns to a previously established zone.
3. Fair Value Gaps (FVG)
Detect potential price imbalances using Fair Value Gap logic.
-
Identify bullish and bearish FVGs.
-
Select the timeframe used for FVG detection.
-
Project higher-timeframe FVGs onto the current chart.
-
Apply an optional automatic threshold to filter smaller gaps.
-
Control how many FVG zones are displayed.
FVGs can help traders identify potential retracement areas and locations where price may revisit an imbalance.
4. Liquidity Analysis
Analyze potential liquidity resting around important price levels.
-
Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL): Monitor liquidity above significant highs.
-
Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL): Monitor liquidity below significant lows.
-
Equal Highs (EQH) and Equal Lows (EQL): Identify areas where liquidity may accumulate.
-
Liquidity Sweeps: Optionally display markers when price sweeps a detected liquidity level.
Liquidity sweeps can provide useful context when combined with market structure and subsequent price confirmation.
5. Premium, Discount & Equilibrium
Analyze price location within the current swing range.
-
Premium Zone: The upper portion of the selected swing range.
-
Discount Zone: The lower portion of the selected swing range.
-
Equilibrium Zone: The area around the midpoint of the range.
These zones help traders evaluate whether price is trading relatively high or low within the analyzed range.
6. Multi-Timeframe Directional Bias
Use a top-down approach to evaluate market direction across three higher timeframes.
-
Configure three timeframes independently.
-
Assess directional alignment between the higher timeframes.
-
Optionally require all three timeframes to agree before a trade setup is accepted.
-
Combine higher-timeframe context with lower-timeframe entry conditions.
Recommended setup: Use the indicator on M15 with D1, H4, and H1 as the three higher timeframes. The indicator can also be configured for other timeframe combinations.
7. Trade Setup & Entry Signals
Enable the optional trade signal module to identify potential BUY and SELL setups based on multiple conditions.
Depending on the selected settings, the indicator can incorporate:
-
Higher-timeframe directional alignment.
-
Liquidity sweep confirmation.
-
CHoCH confirmation after a sweep.
-
Price interaction with a fresh Order Block or Fair Value Gap.
-

-

-
An optional candle-based order-flow proxy.
When a qualifying setup is identified, the indicator can display the proposed entry price, Stop Loss, and multiple Take Profit levels.
The Stop Loss calculation can include an ATR-based buffer beyond the relevant Order Block. Potential targets can reference nearby higher-timeframe liquidity levels.
The signal module also supports alerts when a new BUY or SELL setup forms.
Trade signals are optional and can be enabled or disabled in the settings.
8. Previous Day, Week & Month Highs and Lows
Display important higher-timeframe reference levels directly on the chart.
-
Previous Day High (PDH) and Previous Day Low (PDL).
-
Previous Week High (PWH) and Previous Week Low (PWL).
-
Previous Month High (PMH) and Previous Month Low (PML).
These levels can help traders identify potential liquidity targets, support and resistance areas, and important price reaction zones.

-
Optional market analysis dashboard.
-
Optional candle coloring based on market bias.
-
Adjustable font size and font type.

Recommended Trading Workflow
For traders who use a structured SMC approach, the following workflow can serve as a starting point:
-
Analyze the higher-timeframe bias using D1, H4, and H1.
-
Identify important swing structure and determine whether the market is bullish, bearish, or ranging.
-
Mark liquidity levels around significant highs, lows, EQH, and EQL.
-
Wait for a potential liquidity sweep followed by a structural confirmation such as CHoCH.
-
Identify a relevant Order Block or Fair Value Gap for a possible retracement entry.
-
Evaluate Premium/Discount positioning and nearby liquidity targets.
-
Plan risk management using an appropriate Stop Loss and realistic Take Profit levels.

Appropriate risk management is essential.
