Although my MT5 terminal supports ALGOTRADING and other EAs are using it, Expert Assistant 5 reports that : "CHECK ALGO TRDADING .....AUTOMATED TRADING IS PROHIBITED". How can I resolve this?

Hello, I have been using the EXP-ASSISTANT MT5 and MT4 to trade XAUCHF since around mid-September 2024. 
So far I have been really satisfied with both, they were absolutely reliable and I could even run my trades at night without hesitation. And it didn't matter whether I placed the trades via computer or cell phone. Yes, I don't have a magic number for cell phone trading, but every trade has worked since last year and there has been no difference from the expert.
Now the market was extremely shocked on 2-3.4.25. And unfortunately the two MT5 accounts with this expert totally failed!

Regarding my trading method, I have 6 accounts of different sizes and place the identical trade, only adjusted in the lot size. And the only thing that is different is the entry point due to the manual setting. So if I enter the first account at 2771.77, for example, then the last account is at 2771.86, for example. 
Now the MT5 experts have not even tried to sell, even though the price has been well above the trades entry point and my specifications with trailing stop and breakeven several times. And all MT4 trades are sold. This has led to the fact that I have made considerable losses (1967,54$, 2959,23$) and in one I am still stuck with -$900. Yes, I had to realize the two. Because the account had fallen below 50% margin.

I retroactively checked the logs of the accounts and there are no rejected sales and also the price went to 2774.90 on 2.4.25 at about 22.28 and went down a bit in waves and kept coming back above my trade entry point. The highest point was the 2777.80 mark on April 3 at around 2:50. And there were no rapid spikes like you get with news etc. Even on 3.4.25 it went well above it again and again and after about 4.42 am and 2772.80 it only went down. AND MT4 sold the identical trades. For me, this is an error in the expert. For whatever reason, because it ran for several months without failures.

I have also checked the accounts to see if all updates are installed, see below

I had the following trades, sorted by account. And the purchase by computer marked with a + in front and the purchase by cell phone marked with * ...

1. MT4 - Update not installed
* Buy 2.4 / 2771.77 -> Sell 3.4 at 1:12 / 2772.80
+ Purchase 1.4 / 2772.83 -> VK 3.4 at 1:16 / 2773.62

2. MT5 large - update not installed
+ Purchase 1.4 / 2773.10 -> VK 3.4 at 1:12 / 2773.59

* Buy 2.4 / 2771.84 -> open sales with -900$

3. MT5 gold - update not installed
* Buy 2.4 / 2771,81 -> VK 4.4 at 16:30 / 2604,37 / - 1967$ (below 50% margin)
* Buy 2.4 / 2770.63 -> Sell 8.4 at 22:17 / 2520.35 / - 2,959$ (below 50% margin)

In other words, MT5 sold the trades initiated on the computer, as noted in the trailing stop and breakeven values. And those executed by cell phone did not. But this has ALWAYS WORKED for several months now.  And the Expert MT4 ran error-free, whether computer or cell phone. What happened here? If there had been discrepancies here for months, I would not have left the experts unattended. Or not used them at all. And I always use so and so.

I ask for urgent clarification.

If you open a trade from your mobile phone, that’s absolutely fine — but in order for the Assistant to monitor and modify that trade, your desktop terminal must be open and running. Otherwise, the program cannot function, and no trailing stop or breakeven modifications will be applied.

In your situation, it seems the MT5 trades were initiated from your mobile phone while your computer may have been off or the terminal not running. Therefore, the Assistant could not update the Stop Loss or Breakeven, and the trades remained unmanaged — which unfortunately led to losses when the market moved against the position.

Again, please remember: the Assistant does not execute Stop Loss — this always occurs on the broker’s server when the level is reached.

Hello

I have a new Question about the Exp-Asisstent 5.

I plan to migrate all my 6 accounts into a VPS.With all Robots on all Charts.

Tillt today i use a Home Account with MT5/ Exp-Assistant 5 and a Handy with MT5 at the same Account , it works well.

Also the Trades set from the Handy handled over the Homeaccount with the Exp-Assistant 5.

XAUCHF is for me  only for Handtrading.

The cenario is follow:(for example)

VPS Server Account: 12345 with MT5/ XAUCHF + Exp-Assistent 5 on the Chart

Home Account: 12345 with MT5/ XAUCHF + Exp Assistent 5 on The Chart

Handy Account 12345 with MT5/ XAUCHF

If i set a Trade in my Homeaccount: 12345 than the VPS Server Account: 12345 with the Exp-Assistant 5 will Handle this , because it much faster than the Homeaccount: 12345 with the Exp-Assistant 5,well??

If i set Trades from my Handy at the same Account it will be Handle also from the VPS Server,Yes??

You're absolutely right in thinking through the setup — and yes, your scenario will work as expected when you migrate everything to a VPS.

Let’s go over your plan step by step:


✅ Your Setup:

  • Same trading account (12345) is running on:

    • VPS with MT5 and Exp-Assistant 5

    • Home PC with MT5 and Exp-Assistant 5

    • Mobile (Handy) with MT5

  • You plan to migrate all logic to the VPS, where execution is faster and more stable.


✅ What will happen:

  • If you open a trade on your mobile (Handy) — the trade will instantly appear on the account.

  • The VPS terminal (also logged into the same account) will detect this trade in real time and Exp-Assistant 5 on the VPS will manage it (trailing, stop-loss, etc.).

  • Your home PC terminal can still be connected, but it will be slower. Since the VPS is always online and faster, Exp-Assistant 5 on the VPS will take over the logic first, as you assumed.


✅ Important notes:

  • Make sure only one instance of Exp-Assistant 5 is managing the same trade at the same time to avoid any conflicts (although the EA is designed to be smart about this).

  • You can safely remove the EA from the home PC once you're fully migrated to the VPS for cleaner operation.

Недавно убрали возможность переключаться между разными периодами в симуляторе.

В MQL5 есть возможность добавить кнопки какие то в интерфейс для переключения между таймфреймами?
У меня последняя версия МТ5. Они конечно неудобно сделали. Слишком много кликов. Я думаю это не удобно не только для тех, кто хочет "руками" торговать в тестере стратегий, но и тем, кто тестирует свои советники.

After the last update, the EA keeps popping up everytime an order is opened or closed. I have to go into ea settings and disable show ea but that means everytime I want to change a simple thing I have to right click n open ea settings. Before it was very easy. Even when closed there was a small box which allowed to open ea display front with a single click. Hope this gets corrected. FYI having even 3 charts open makes it very difficult to everytime have to close the ea front popping up as my charts don't have enough space to close without adjusting charts again.

Check the video. Here I attach the ea, don't change settings and close it and start a trade, ea front display pops up. I have to close it. Happens for any opened or closed order. 

Then I change the settings from the front display. Still pops up. Before the update when I click cross on display it never pops up on it's own. 

Then I right click on top right ea logo, go into ea properties and disable everything I think might be causing this and disable show ea too. Then it doesn't happen with orders. but now the small display box is also gone so there is no way to open the display front easily. 

Hope I showed the issue correctly.
