GOAT Gold Sniper

GOAT Gold Sniper trades one clear idea on XAUUSD: the New York opening range, taken only in the direction of the higher-timeframe market structure. One setup per day at most, with Entry, Stop Loss, TP1 and TP2 drawn on every signal and an honest statistics panel that tracks every past signal on your own chart.

How a signal is formed (closed bars only, no repaint)

• Range: the high and low of the New York opening range (default 09:30 - 10:30 New York time) are marked with a box.
• Trend: the higher-timeframe swing structure (default H4, last BOS / CHoCH direction) decides the side. Buys only in a bullish structure, sells only in a bearish one.
• Break: after the range, a candle must close beyond the range in the trend direction (entry window, default 2 hours).
• Entry: Retest mode (default) - the signal prints when price returns to the broken range edge. Breakout mode - entry at the close of the breakout candle.
• Levels: SL at the opposite side of the range (or the middle), TP1 = 2R, TP2 = 4R (adjustable).

Statistics panel
Every signal is followed on the chart's later bars until SL or TP2. If a bar touches both SL and a target, it counts as SL. The panel shows signals, TP1 / TP2 hit rate, SL rate, average R, total R, profit factor and the current streak. These are historical results on your chart, without spread or commission, and are not a guarantee of future results.

Example - XAUUSD M5, broker data May 2024 - Nov 2026, default settings: the panel showed 226 signals, TP1 hit 41.6%, profit factor 1.70 (in R, no costs). Losing streaks of up to 9 signals happened in that period, so use sensible risk per trade. Check the panel on your own broker's data before trading.

Note for the Strategy Tester
Run it on XAUUSD M5 in visual mode. In the tester the broker offset cannot be detected, so set the manual GMT offset of your broker (for example 2) or use a live chart.
