Kernvio Gold Quartet

I build Expert Advisors, indicators and small tools for MT4 and MT5, mostly around gold (XAUUSD) and risk management. Three of my own EAs are in the Market (Kernvio series) and I run a public signal, so I've seen what goes wrong once code hits a real broker: tick value on gold, spread spikes at - Sürüm: 1.12
- Etkinleştirmeler: 10
Kernvio Gold Quartet combines four gold breakout modules in one MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor. Swing, Legs, Aurum and Bastion trade XAUUSD through separate strategy groups, with shared position sizing, preset selection and an overlap filter. Use one instance on an XAUUSD H1 chart with a hedging account.
Trading logic
Swing contains eight swing-breakout engines on daily, H4 and H1 data. Legs contains 24 channel-breakout legs from M15 to W1. Aurum contains nine swing engines. Bastion adds selectable H2/H4 breakout sets and module-specific position management.
The standard Quartet preset uses Swing engines 1–4 for daily/H4 signals, Aurum engines 5–9 for H1 signals, Legs and the Bastion Filter Twin set. It enables the Reduce overlap filter: when another module already has an order or position in the same direction near the proposed entry, the new order's volume is reduced. Orders below the broker's minimum after this reduction are skipped. The filter can also be disabled or set to skip overlapping entries.
The modules trade the same instrument. Several positions can be open together, including positions in opposite directions, and losses can overlap. Four modules do not imply four uncorrelated sources of return.
Settings and execution
- 21 presets plus Manual mode, including reduced-risk mixes, selected timeframe groups, pairs of modules and individual modules.
- One overall risk multiplier and three volume modes: Automatic, Fixed lot and Lots per balance.
- Manual module switches, module risk multipliers, selected Swing/Aurum engines and a Bastion leg-set selector.
- Cross-module overlap control with adjustable price tolerance, reduction factor and inclusion of open positions.
- Optional daily and total account-equity loss triggers, plus an equity target with close and pause options.
- A chart dashboard with account balance and equity, module activity, pending orders, spread and overlap statistics.
Manual module and overlap settings apply when Manual is selected. Named presets supply their own module mix, risk weights and overlap settings. The overall risk multiplier and common volume mode still apply. A multiplier of 1 means the preset's built-in sizing; it does not mean 1 percent account risk. Fixed lot is also multiplied by each active module's risk weight.
Loss guard and target
The account guard is optional and is automatically enabled by the Quartet prop preset. Its default thresholds are 4 percent daily loss and 8 percent total loss, relative to the configured starting balance. The daily reference can use the higher of balance and equity at the first update of the new server-time day.
At a loss trigger, Quartet stops new entries and attempts to close its own positions and remove its pending orders on the chart symbol. Trigger calculations use whole-account equity, so other trading on the account can affect them. Quartet does not close unrelated trades. Gaps, slippage, disconnections and broker restrictions can cause actual losses to exceed a threshold. These controls do not guarantee compliance with any prop firm's rules.
Testing
Reference real-tick backtest: RoboForex, XAUUSD H1, 1 June 2020 to 19 October 2026, USD 10,000 initial balance, leverage 1:500, Quartet preset, Automatic sizing and overall risk multiplier 1.0. The report records 17,858 trades, a profit factor of 2.45 and maximum relative equity drawdown of 28.50 percent. The gallery's balance chart includes realized profit, commission and swap; it uses a logarithmic scale and does not show intratrade floating losses. Compounding and strong historical gold trends materially affect this test.
Use MetaTrader 5's Every tick based on real ticks mode with your broker's XAUUSD data, spread, commissions, leverage and symbol specifications. Test the exact preset and volume mode you intend to use, and examine equity drawdown, margin use, concurrent positions and losing periods.
Historical testing is a simulation and does not guarantee future results. Selection of strategy groups using historical data can make a backtest look better than subsequent trading. No independently verified live performance is claimed here.
Setup
Attach one instance to one XAUUSD H1 chart on a hedging account. Keep the terminal or VPS running for order and position management. Begin with broker-specific real-tick testing and a demo account. Broker minimum volume can prevent sizing from decreasing in proportion to the risk multiplier, especially on small accounts.
Use a separate account from standalone versions of the constituent modules: their fixed magic-number ranges can overlap with Quartet. The dashboard's maximum drawdown value is measured since the current session began, rather than over the account's full history. Contact the seller through MQL5 messages or the product comments for setup questions.
Input guide
- Preset: choose a named mix or Manual. Overall risk multiplier scales the selected mix.
- Money management: choose the lot mode, fixed lot and per-balance volume factor.
- Manual module settings: enable modules, set module multipliers and choose Swing/Aurum engine lists and the Bastion set.
- Manual overlap filter: Off, Reduce or Skip; price tolerance, lot reduction factor and open-position check.
- Bastion protection: choose the module's management mode, including Auto.
- Prop firm protection: enable account-equity triggers, daily and total thresholds, starting balance, daily reference and server reset hour. Reset a total-loss stop only deliberately.
- Challenge target: target percentage, closing and pausing options, and the resume switch.
- Order randomizer: optional entry/stop/target shifts in points and lot reductions; zero disables them.
- Display / test: dashboard switch and optional tester deal export.
The monthly gallery table shows net realized balance changes, including commission and swap, relative to the previous month-end balance. Floating P/L is excluded. October 2026 is a partial month.
