It remained profitable despite the steep commissions charged by prop firms (screenshot).
Many BTC EAs look impressive in backtests but fail in live trading, often relying on basic support/resistance breakouts or overoptimized results. Even on ECN accounts, trading costs can quickly erase their profits.
Enter at market when their conditions are met. Each strategy follows its own stop and exit rules, while the EA brings position sizing and account management into one chart.
I'm also currently running this on an FTMO account (screenshot), and preparing live signals from ICM.
What you can control
- Position size: use Risk Level portfolio sizing or the same Fixed Lot for every strategy.
- Account protection: enable daily and total loss checks, then set thresholds for your account.
- Trading schedule: choose high-impact USD news windows and Friday/Monday operating times.
- Shared account resources: limit pending orders, reserve slots for other EAs and set a margin usage threshold.
- Chart display: choose Compact or Overview, panel scale, font size and the chart theme.
Daily loss protection, total loss protection, the common news filter and weekend close are separate options. All four are OFF in the supplied release settings and in the performance test below.

Minimum requirements and recommendations
- Platform and symbol: MetaTrader 5 and a supported BTCUSD CFD symbol. Attach the EA to one BTCUSD H1 chart and enable Algo Trading. H1 was used for the displayed test; internal strategies use their own configured timeframes.
- Account: USD-denominated hedging account without a FIFO restriction. Netting accounts are not supported for the intended portfolio operation.
- Starting capital: at least $1,000 is recommended as a starting-capital guideline. Use more capital for a smaller percentage drawdown and sufficient free margin.
- Capital context: earlier minimum-lot tests observed maximum drawdown of about $600. A similar $600 drawdown would equal roughly 60% of a $1,000 account before extra costs and margin needs.
- Broker conditions: prefer BTCUSD trading conditions with low total costs, such as a suitable ECN, RAW or LOW spread account. Check commission, swap, contract size, minimum volume, volume step, sessions and slippage. VT Markets and TMGM are candidates to assess for suitable BTCUSD conditions.
- Leverage: select according to the actual BTCUSD symbol margin. The displayed test used 1:200.
- VPS: required for the intended continuous unattended operation. Keep MT5 running and connected, including applicable weekend trading sessions. Some normal exits use virtual targets and require an active terminal connection; server-side SL protection remains in place.
Easy to Use - Input quick guide.
- Broker Time Zone: match your broker's server clock. News and weekend controls are optional.
- Shared Order Resources: set pending-order capacity and margin limits when needed. A zero pending-order or margin cap disables that additional cap.
- Chart Display: choose your preferred panel layout, scale and font size.
- Backtest Speed: use Fast for screening and real ticks with Normal for final checks. This setting affects the tester only.
1. Choose the sizing balance
Sizing Balance (USD) = 0 uses the current account balance. Enter a positive amount to use a fixed sizing reference. This changes the sizing basis, not your account balance.
2. Set Magic and the order comment
Magic Base identifies this EA's trades. Use a distinct value when running separate instances, and keep it unchanged while existing trades are managed. Order Comment Base adds your preferred comment; leave it blank for the default product comment.
3. Choose the risk level
Select Risk Level in Sizing Mode, then set Risk Level. Higher values increase position size. Broker minimum lots can limit further reductions.
Alternatively, choose Fixed Lot and enter the same lot size for every active strategy. Risk Level sizing is then inactive.
4. Review settings for prop accounts
Already includes time and initial SL randomization. Entry Price Randomization (+/- USD); 0 means OFF.\
Daily and Total Loss Protection default to OFF. To enable either, enter the actual Initial Account Capital (USD) and set loss limits for your account. Protective exits apply to this EA's trades.

Using the EA with a prop account
The optional loss, news and schedule controls can help organize operation under account rules. The current daily policy follows a Prague-day, FTMO 2-Step style calculation and the total-loss control is static.
The EA may monitor account-wide equity, but protective closure and cancellation apply to its own trades. It cannot control every manual or other-EA order. Confirm the firm's current rules for third-party EAs, shared strategies, allocation, news and weekend trading. Protection depends on connectivity, quotes, gaps and execution. No setting guarantees profit, evaluation success or compliance with every firm rule.
Before live use, test the chosen broker's actual specifications and costs, confirm the intended settings on a demo account, and allow enough capital and margin for adverse periods.
