Trend Apex Pro MT5 is a fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 built on a three-layer Exponential Moving Average system combined with dynamic ATR-based risk management, intelligent trade lifecycle control, and a comprehensive suite of daily risk protection tools. It is designed for traders who want a disciplined, rules-based system that entries only when the market structure confirms direction across multiple confluence factors — and exits with capital preservation as the first priority.
The Strategy
The core logic is a dual EMA crossover confirmed by a macro trend filter. The Fast EMA (default 20) and Slow EMA (default 50) are monitored on every completed candle. A buy signal is generated when the Fast EMA crosses above the Slow EMA, the closing price is above both EMAs, and price remains above the 200 EMA trend baseline. A sell signal is the mirror image. No trade is placed on an open candle — the EA waits for candle close before executing, eliminating false crossover entries. This single discipline alone separates Trend Apex Pro from the majority of EMA-based systems on the market that react to intra-candle wicks.
Risk Management
Lot sizing operates in two modes: fixed lot for traders who prefer manual control, and percentage-based risk sizing that calculates position size from the stop-loss distance relative to account equity. This means every trade risks exactly the percentage you define, regardless of the instrument or volatility at the time of entry. Stop-loss placement uses either ATR multiplied by a user-defined factor or a fixed pip distance — ATR mode is recommended for volatile instruments like XAUUSD and NAS100 because it adapts the stop width to actual current market conditions rather than applying a static value that may be too tight in fast markets or too wide in quiet ones. Take profit defaults to a 1:2 risk-reward ratio and scales proportionally with the stop-loss distance.
Trade Lifecycle Management
Once a position is open, Trend Apex Pro does not leave it unattended. The break-even function moves the stop-loss to the entry price when the trade reaches a defined profit multiple of the initial risk, locking in the position as a zero-risk trade. An optional trailing stop activates at a second profit threshold and follows price at a defined distance, allowing winners to run while protecting accumulated gains. Both functions operate on every tick for maximum precision.
Daily Risk Controls
The EA enforces two hard daily limits. The maximum daily loss limit, expressed as a percentage of account equity, halts all new entries the moment cumulative intraday losses reach the threshold — the EA resumes automatically the following day. The maximum trades per day counter prevents overtrading during volatile or choppy sessions. Both values reset at the start of each new trading day without any manual intervention required.
Session and Spread Filters
Trend Apex Pro restricts entries to user-selected trading sessions: London, New York, and the London-New York overlap. Outside active sessions, the EA monitors but does not trade. A spread filter rejects entry when the current spread exceeds a defined pip threshold, protecting against execution in illiquid or widened-spread conditions that would erode trade value before it even begins.
Supported Instruments
The EA is optimized and tested across EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, AUDUSD, XAUUSD, NAS100, and US30. Pip and point calculations are normalized automatically per instrument, meaning the same EA file works correctly across 5-digit Forex pairs, gold, and index CFDs without any manual adjustments.
Dashboard and Alerts
An on-chart dashboard displays real-time account balance, equity, daily profit and loss, current spread, open positions, trades taken today, and current EA status. Alert delivery is configurable across three channels: on-screen popup, MT5 push notification to mobile, and email. Alerts fire on trade open, trade close, and daily loss limit activation.
Compatibility
Trend Apex Pro is written in clean, documented MQL5 and is fully compatible with the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester for backtesting and parameter optimization. No external DLLs, no web requests required for core operation, and no martingale or grid recovery logic of any kind. Every trade carries a defined stop-loss from the moment it opens.
